WooSidebars adds functionality to display different widgets in a sidebar, according to a context (for example, a specific page or a category).
I wrote the code for to put custom sidebars in diferent categories, but when I test this plugin in one of my blogs, I'm adding the plugin in all my webs.
Thanks so much!
Great, great plugin. Easy to understand and easy to use. I've just published a short review (in spanish): http://www.labitacoradeltigre.com/2013/08/19/la-magia-de-los-widgets-de-wordpress-6/.
We use this all the time. After I was "forced" to try it with a wootheme theme, I figured out that this is the "end game" of sidebar customization.
I've previously used a combination of Flexipages and Widget logic to create custom menus for different sections. This approach has worked very well but Woosidebars is easier to manage. My only criticism would be that if you are using WordPress as a CMS and you have a large number of pages then it can get a little bit unwieldy.
This plugin has the most intuitive interface of any sidebar manager that I've used. It's very flexible and it just works. Fantastic tool for nearly all themes.
The ability to create custom widget areas, such as sidebars and footers, in your site is a critical piece when it comes to making your site user-friendly. The free WooSidebars plugin does exact that and allows you to assign custom widget areas to pages, posts, taxonomies, templates and archives.
If you have ever been frustrated with the fact that you have to show the same sidebar or footer widget in every post and page on your site, this plugin is your solution. It allows you to create custom sidebars and footers that you can assign to specific pages, posts, categories, archives, etc.
That is the beauty of this plugin!
Nice 'n easy to use. It's flexibilty in choosing makes this Plugin very good. Should be basic in every template.
Allows you to create multiple dynamic sidebars for you WordPress site, take control of you sidebars with WooSidebars
...I have found you EARLIER!
This plugin is chocolate cake!
Really, this is awesome.
The only suggestion I could ever give is: try to find a way not to fill my widgets admin page with a ton of widget areas, they take space.
But, after all, it's a MINOR thing.
And I guess it's necessary. After all, if you're dying to have less widget areas, you can simply create less of them! ;)
Besides, this plugin is working like a charm. Great work!
