I backed up the website and updated WooCommerce and the add the cart wasn't working on my variable products. So I reverted back to Woocommerce 2.4.5 and its still not working .Any suggestions? http://theweaveaddiction.com I'll pay for support for this to work.

ALERT to working devs - If your working on a project and need technical support, WooCommerce has the most unhelpful support I have ever experienced.
1. They sometimes take a week to get back to you (even when purchasing expensive paid plugins)
2. They use pre-formatted answers that are basically what's available in the support docs
3. They don't answer any questions that are outside of the scope of the support docs even if you complain and ask them many times over. But be prepared to wait up to a week in between answers!
I've had long back and forths with devs trying to get very simple answers. They'll regurgitate basic steps or give vague answers questions that are outside of the scope of their support docs. If I had to guess I would say their tech's are looking at a knowledgebase and are not familiar with the innerworkings of the plugins. Add to this that they seem to try to cover it up by avoiding answering your specific questions.
So really the worst part about their support is that it's just wastes your time. You think your waiting for a week to get the right answer and being diligent. To your surprise it seems they have not even read your question. They just posted an answer to something that resembles what you need. And then I pull my hair out. I would rather them not offer support at all, so I would know right off the bat that I have to find the answer myself.
WooCommerce is fraught with issues. As soon as you go beyond one or two items to sell, you need a "WooCommerce Extension" and these cost AU$100-200 EACH! You may need as many as 5 extensions (table rate shipping $200, Exclude country $100 etc.) on a single site. A better bet might be to set up a store on Shopify or Magento - while they too are expensive, they are less likely to give you as many nightmares and settings issues as WooCommerce. Also beware the WooCommerce 5 star ratings. Woo Extension developers like to post positive reviews for obvious reasons. Read the 1 - 4 out of 5 reviews. Not the "Great plugin 5/5 but that's all I have to say" ones. And check out the prices of the extensions (and read the forums to see if anyone responds). I just received a forum response 3 months after posting it and all it said was Check FAQ (with link). I honestly couldn't believe how bad the support was. Amateurs.
This appears to be a significant bug as reported several times on the WooCommerce support forums...
Until the local pickup bug is resolved this plugin is useless to me.
I imported the dummy xm and spent all of sunday going through the woothemes (quite
outdated-->Catalog tab?) documentation, there seems to be a failure to understand a
basic process of the user. I installed the Adventure theme and it looked *nothing*
like the demo. I would expect a user manual that guides you step by step until you
have the result of a fully functioning shop as you see on the demo. Naturally I am wondering how far I could have gotten wrong?
- How do I display in 3 columns
- How do I get rid of the dots?
- How do I add tabs and ratings?
- How do I resize the font size?
- Why does clicking go to cart reveal an error?
- where are the ratings?
I would expect that you could offer demo content that was already preformatted for
this? If so I would be grateful if you can show me the next steps so my page starts
to look like what it was so well advertised.
I did start to experiment with using WooCommerce but was very alarmed when it white screen my site after an update. I am using php 5.5 and only managed to get the site back after I deleted the WooCommerce plug-in. For an e-commerce plug in to be trusted, it has to be compatible with the current version of php, after this experience I wouldn't be reluctant to trust WooCommerce again.
I only give them one star because I have to. Their customer support is the worst I have ever come up against. It takes days for responses. Don't use Woocommerce!!!!
After contacting the support for a bug and demonstrating the issue in github, I got no reply and the bug is still there.
It is hard to describe in words, how bad this plugin is. After being obliged to used this plugin for corporate reasons, I think my rectal pains will last forever. Perhaps it is just my experience, I didn't use the latest version as well. So if you are about to install this plugin, may God have mercy on your soul.
