I've been using Woocommerce for a long time. It's as they say, beautiful & the best solution for small businesses, period.
Woocommerce is resource hungry so get a good VPS hosting.
Support is on the whole very good, but turnaround time is sometimes slow, I've waited 5 days for a reply. There's no way to escalate an issue.
Woocommerce I think there would be a good demand for a paid premium version. Small businesses would love quicker responses & some help diagnostics with ongoing site configurations issues which generally lie outside your support remit.
But as I say, essential, Woocommerce are doing a great job.
It is nice shopping cart. Easily manageable from dashboard.
I need more to learn, but since i use woocommerce great, easy customize, easy to use and easy to integrate.
I'm setting up my first e-commerce shop for a client. I am, so far, really impressed. The selection of plugins available to site creators makes a large part of my job easier. I only gave 4 stars because the cost is somewhat incredible for the more powerful options.
If I wanted to offer the FULL WooCommerce to ALL of my clients, I'm looking at almost a thousand bucks... It would be MUCH nicer if there were a developer account that was in the $200-300 range that would allow the creation, population, and maintenance of a basic site with WooCommerce. So whereas this Plugin is amazing... it falls a little short.
I'm crossing my fingers tho...

Great plug-in, really enjoying working with it until now, easy, great community and plug ins, flexible.
The unique reason I don't give a 5 start is regarding the Order Emails. One thing that I find essential for an eCommerce website is to be easy to send the tracking info to the client. In the "Completed Order" we should be able to add the website and the tracking code of each order, it's missing two fields that could be filled.
I've been in contact with a couple of plugins that let you customize emails, but none of that is still possible.
Is this something we can expect in any of the future WooCommerce updates?

The latest update will prevent your storefront from loading if you have 'Page Transitions' set to load, I haven't bothered examining what causes it, but I just about ripped a site apart thinking it was something more complex.
I tell ya with every update I'm loosing years off my life, (not just woocommerce, all of em :)
just wanted to share for my fellow Gantry users.
Like anything "WordPress" there are a million dominoes all interdependent on each other, and counting on each other to remain balanced. Woocommerce is no exception, which makes it sometimes tricky and sometimes impossible to troubleshoot.
When it works... it works nicely... when it doesn't... it will cost you a weekend of time to figure out how to resolve your woes. That aspect alone ordinarily would drive a plugin like Woocommerce into the FAIL category. The reality is, however, that there aren't any comparable "platforms" to "plugin" to WordPress... Woocommerce has enabled a critical mass of extensions & has begun to tighten things up... a bit... I think... maybe...
...So cross your fingers, and pray for the best... I'll be on my knees next to you ;)
As a developer, I managed to completely customize it to my own or the client's demands. It can take some digging at first, but once you've familiarized yourself with it, it is a great, easy to use plugin with a ton of functionality.
