Plugin does exactly what I wanted to do. Very simple, very fast. I tried it on WooCommerce 2.3.10 in WordPress 4.2.2 with Mystile theme from WooThemes.
Just two more things. Update it and make it translation ready. I had to translate per page dropdown text ($n per page) with "hardcode" method.
Does not work on Storefront theme, breaks products into groups of quantity set for columns but displays them on a grid of no more than 3 columns, so 5 column display actually shows a top row of 3 products and the next two on the next row.
Brilliant plugin! Just one small bug after woocommerce update I think. The settings are not kept after updating woocommerce settings from another tab.
- in archive-customiser.php find
add_action( 'woocommerce_update_options_products', array( $this, 'save_admin_settings' ) ); // 2.1 +
- add the following line after the previous one
add_action( 'woocommerce_update_options', array( $this, 'save_admin_settings' ) ); // 2.3 +
The below text (in italics) was my former review. That was until I looked at my client's site and saw a bunch of code where the products were supposed to be (code starting with: "Warning: Division by zero") I googled the error and found numerous complaints, thankfully there were people who knew the culprit was "WooCommerce Product Archive Customiser". I don't know when the code replaced the products on my client's site, it may have been when I changed stock levels, but I can't take the risk of this happening again, I disabled the plugin.
I just installed this plugin and it seems to work. It saved me from having to figure out which functions file to put the code in to change the number of columns. It's handy to be able to change the number of columns quickly and conveniently.
I haven't figured out all the other things that the plugin does yet.
It would be nice if this would allow changing the store and the product category pages column numbers independently.
The support area is littered with posts about the plugin not working going back for several months without replies or help. This is broken garbage.
Does it exactly what the author says it does. Running Genesis Metro, Woo, on WP 4.1.
This worked straight away. Life saver! thank you!
This is so good shouldn't it be included out of the box, works perfectly using genesis and the Genesis connect for WooCommerce plugin
Version 0.4.0 of this does not display columns properly on WordPress 4.0 with OrganicThemes - none of them. I tested 6 different ones.
When this plugin is enabled it forces two columns on the shop page no matter how many are specified under WooCommerce > Settings > Products
Do NOT set it and forget it with this plugin...
This is very useful to define which elements appears on product archives.
I had one issue with it tough, WooCommerce update caused this plugin to loose it's settings, forcing to configure it again. Hoping this can be solved in the future.
