I purchased two of the add-ons 'Import Attributes' and 'Import Variable Products' last year, and they have been key to getting my new Woocommerce website up and running on a 300+ product list. Although I had never built a WordPress site before, I had used a CSV importer on my other website which is running on Magento, so I half knew what to expect.
Overall I can't recall have any issues with anything not working as it should. There is more polished importers out there if you are willing to spend 3 or 4 times more. In my opinion the add-ons are well worth the money and will save you so much time in the end.
It was good until recent update killed my site error 500. Had to edit database to figure it out.
great plugin but the important categories are too complicated to do so if you had them as ids and not | or other symbols. :(
also its shame that major import features doesn't say that is NOT free!!!!
I hate misleading plugins, the ones that don't do basic functions unless you pay for an upgrade.
First, it works and does everything it should. But to be perfect, I miss a few things. For example to proceed files from the log, that did not finish because of the known Ajax issue. This could be great for large files!
It was super easy to create simple excel sheets and import over 100 products in seconds. It is also very easy to edit products by importing again and merging using SKU
This plug in has saved me lots of time when setting up a new WooCommerce site with Product variations
I use it to bulk upload everything, test and if any changes are needed I just trash the Products and re-do. Much faster than manual edits :)
The free version works ok, but none of the added functionality in the PRO version seems to work. I spent hours working on it and couldn't get anything to work correctly.
I emailed the author 4-5 times and he responded once, then ignored the rest of my emails. I will try and get my money back.
I recently downloaded and installed this free plugin only to find out that the core features I needed were paid. After humming and hahhing, I decided to take a chance and purchase all the addon's.
Initially the plugin looked promising, however after the dreadful documentation, complete lack of support (I bought this several days ago and have not received a single email reply to tell me that they will get back to me or provide me with any notice that thay have received my request) and several days of frustration trying to get a simple variable product of 42 lines imported correctly each and every time, deleteing my woocommerce, even doing SQL table maintenance to try and clean it up, with the import still not workin g correctly or consistently!
Its time to quit.
Initially it took me a long time to figure out what even the field names were in relation to other export routines from other products. Even now I am not sure of which fields relate to what.
A Simple list of all Field names with a GOOD description of what they are and what they expect as data in them would have been helpful.
The examples layed on on this guys website are hardly examples that someone can relate to. An explanation of what Woocommerce structure would also have been beneficial. We are not all coders, DB masters, more detailed and visual information is necessary for understanding.
On top of this, the plugin will not run well on an Eco-website server host at all, failing at random points, I keep getting told by my web host that I am running to many processes or going over and that I need to upgrade my service ! for a simple data upload ??
You keep getting the dreaded This server has lost connection, check your ajax settings.
I am now seeking to get my money back and look elsewhere.
I am now done with this plugin!
Upload the product data and product images separately keeping SKU column in both of them if you're facing Ajax issues. Tick the debug option as to identify at which product did your uploading stopped. Remove the product data till that product and try to upload it again.
