Webmaster User Role

Adds a new "Admin" user role between Administrator and Editor. Perfect for clients and those who know just enough to be dangerous.

Easy To Implement User Role Plugin!
By , for WP 4.2.2

This plugin is absolutely fantastic! The Free version does all of the work for you...All you need to do is install/activate & then pick the "Admin" user role for the person you want to have limited access. That's it! Done!

When I reviewed the WP tabs that the default Admin allowed, I discovered that it still allowed access to the Appearance tab, so I upgraded to the Pro version and found that to have a very easy-to-use interface which allowed me to block/hide access to not only top-level tabs, but also to sub-tabs (while still allowing access to the sub-tab's top-level)...So, I could allow access to certain sub-tabs and and deny access to other sub-tabs in the same main tab.

Webmaster User - MAGIC

Thanks a lot!

I was in trouble with a client who deleted me as 'admin', when his site was almost finished.
This plugin was a Gods Gift!
Thanks a lot!

Easy to use and good appearance!

Excellent

Does what it is supposed to do perfectly - adds an admin role without access to plugins and themes. Shame about the poor reviews which actually criticize it for doing so!

Very poor

Little compatibility with WP 4.0

Takes away tools and settings but leaves Appearance

An "admin" should have access to users. This plugin doesn't give the flexibility to define roles as I'd like them.

An "admin" should NOT have access to appearance. I worked hard on the design and don't want the users messing it up.

A great plugin to setup just the right permissions for a client.

Too easy!

Thanks for this simple, one-click solution

Great for user/menu management
By , for WP 4.0

This is a simple yet reasonably powerful plugin to give user rights to clients, so that they can experiment with some options, but limiting them access to certain menu items in the dashboard, which is for their benefit, so they don't screw things in their website.

I've found that to suit my needs I need to use this plugin with Adminize, an excellent plugin in its own right. In theory with Adminize and User Role Editor you can have more options for allowing access to menu items than this plugin, but nevertheless it's a good plugin, and the PRO version might be worth it for some of you.

If you just landed on this review, this is description of the plugin.

Adds a Webmaster user role between Administrator and Editor. By default this user is the same as Administrator, without the capability to manage plugins or change themes

free plug-in that does not except add a new role

I'm sorry but this is nonsense

free plug-in that does not except

Just what I was looking for too!

Thanks for this simple, one-click solution to the no-super-admin problem. I hope to see that role built into non-multi-site installations in the future. In the meantime, this works!
