W3 total cache - work blocked by nag screens
By ,

I liked w3 total cache very much, but unfortunately I'm now stuck with the need to sort out a problem in a hurry, and I'm being prevented by nag screens asking me to rate it. I'm doing this under protest, hopefully the nag screens will now go away?

This plugin sucks
By ,

It totally just fried out, I had to go into cpanel to throw the thing in trash after it taking over the site with the classic white screen of errors.

I throw it away, my site comes back, but then it's bitching about some crappy code still stuck in the website --- again more errors that are annoying to have to look at, so I mess around with it... I finally had to change permission settings just to be able to deactivate it from the plugin list...

Thought I was home free after I deactivated and then deleted it... nope, next screen I go to it's yelling at me again about errors because I uninstalled the program.

It's like a, you have to leave me here (on or deactivated) or I'm going to bitch at you. Not a big fan of plugins that blow up my site then bitch at me to get it back on.

Terrible customer service & charging of credit card
By , for WP 4.5.2

I signed up and paid USD$99 for the pro version 12 months ago, but decided not to renew my subscription and emailed them requesting the subscription be cancelled, no reply. I couldn't find anywhere in account settings to cancel the subscription so emailed again, no reply. Due date came and they charged my CC but was declined as I didn't have the funds. I then went into their payment system (recurly.com) and cancelled the subscription. 3 days later they decided to have another go and charge me CC, but this time I had the funds so it went through. This is after I had already cancelled twice by email and once via recurly.com.

TOTAL SCAM! and pretty average plugin anyway, plenty of better options out there nowadays.

500 Internal Server Error - Killed my Site
By , for WP 4.5.2

Installed this plug-in and it completely crashed my site and gave me a 500 Internal Server Error. Freaked me out. I had to go and restore my site with a backup copy. So very relieved I had a backup!!!

Just for reference, I have the Make Theme and about a handful of other plug-ins like WooCommerce, SEO, etc.

Time to forget W3TC
By , for WP 4.5.2

Being a developer myself, I try not to leave negative reviews... but this one is to attract attention of the author and those who is looking for WP cache.

I am uninstalling W3TC from all my sites. It's a great plugin, but I cannot handle fixing errors myself anymore. Have better things to do.

So Long and Thanks for All the Cheese
