Just broke my site
By , for WP 4.1.1

For some reason today, I just couldn't access my site. It seems w3 total cache was the culprit. Not great. Had to remove a number of files all over the place to get my site back.

Sorely introduced to the WSOD via w3 total cache that leaches in and deeply embeds itself in php. A quick google search will provide you with a drove of people that have been put through the ringer with no real tangible solution. I've tried everything and now contemplating starting over from scratch. I was getting POP UPS to follow and like every two seconds after just installing and the it would read: it's been 30 days, follow and like!!! Nothing, but an absolute nightmare of rage and pulling out hair due to his mess.

After 30 days; you will see a pop-up message from W3totalcache

After 30 days; you will see a pop-up message from W3totalcache. It is disturbing.

This plugin scared the hell out of me...

Made my site crash and deactivated all my plugins sponteously.

Very bad Always Getting Site Down
By , for WP 4.1

Always getting website down and CDN has no option for cloudflare also very difficult to configure too much unnecessary options , right now I am using cloudflare which is the best , Not recommended !

Invasive, overly-complicated, there are better caching plugins out there
By , for WP 4.1

Question to all the 5 star reviewers out there:

Where's your evidence that this plugin is "great"?

I've done side-by-side comparisons between W3 Total Cache and other plugins, even vs. a completely manual setup.

Conclusion... W3 Total Cache was second to last in my testing. (Screenshots available on demand)

Also, after 30days of use, a popup comes up requesting you to promote the plugin, get on the email list, etc...

While I think it's absolutely fair, to suggest to free users to share, upgrade, and all that; it's just waaayyy too in my face. Grrrr...

If you're running an ecommerce shop - beware... Unless you know exactly what you're doing, this plugin can REALLY mess up the checkout experience. Particularly for those of you running WooCommerce.

Feature rich? yes.

Will it give you optimal page load times? NO.

Too invasive, complicate for nothing
By , for WP 4.1

I realy hate this plugin because it's too invasive. You have to change wp-config.php, .htaccess and folders. I try to enable some function and my site start to work wrong .
I use to set the cache in .htaccess (Header set Cache-Control and ifModule mod_deflate.c) + autoptimize plug-in for minimize css, html and CDN (that is a lot more less invasive) + ewww image optimizze (for minimizze the images) + footer-javascrip and i have +15-20% on Google PageSpeed Insights than using "w3 total chache". I don't understand why people use it... It's too complicate, invasive, and your site go slower

Pop Up for supporta nd causing problems with other plugins
By , for WP 4.1

It's nice that you want support. But stop beating me over the head every time I try to resolve the multitude of errors with your "Untested with your version of WP) plugin.

I'd LOVE to use this plugin. LOVE TO. But it's caused issues with my ability to even create new blog posts. I'm unfortunately happy to add to your 1 star reviews. Thanks for breaking WP and stalling my work and progress efforts.

irritating pop up
By ,

cudnt be bothered with the plugin - purposely irritating me is not going to make my do anything other than remove the plugin. maybe if i was prepared to get pass the popup and actually experience the plugin I'd give a good rating but as it is - there are other plugins available doing the same thing.

Crashed admin screen on installation
By , for WP 4.0.1

Having read the reviews of this product I was really keen to load it and get it up and running.

Unfortunately when I installed and activated the plugin I immediately lost all access to my wordpress admin panel - the dreaded white screen - so I couldn't even uninstall it. It had to be removed via cpanel. Fortunately it didn't affect the running of the website in terms of website visitors.

I won't be installing this again.
