Easy Web Performance Optimization (WPO) using caching: browser, page, object, database, minify and content delivery network support.
This used to be a great plugin. I use the free version, but I don't consider it free any longer. Every single time I go to the dashboard I'm inundated with popups to upgrade and buy extensions. I click off of them and sometimes the plugin crashes. I go back (just trying to manually empty a cache) They Pop up AGAIN. They are wasting my time. I don't need your extensions (YET!) At one time I was thinking of upgrading but not anymore. You aren't letting me get my work done and it's costing me my most precious commodity. MY TIME! Now I'm just irritated at W3 and NEVER want to upgrade, just would rather delete the plugin entirely.
Não presta...so arrebentou com meu site...
I am thankful for this plugin, it works. However, it has changed to an upselling device: If you are a new WordPress user I strongly suggest finding another cache plugin, this one pops up deliberately confusing and pointless upselling messages while setting it up. And they are persistent.
Had server go down and while working to rebuild site this plugin kept putting mailing list signup screens in front of the work I was trying to do, blocking off the WP admin area. That wasn't enough, when I tried to close them it made me reply to yet another dialogue about leaving the page. If you already aren't completely sure of what you're doing this could put you in a position of feeling forced to sign up.
It also demanded that I stop right in the middle of my work and log into the WordPress site and rate the plugin, so I'm doing that. :^)
I would ask the programmer to reply and describe, in his own words, the kind of person who does that stuff to a user of a plugin they are offering.
This plugin somehow destroyed access to my site. Front- and backend with 403 Error. Removed all except the standard WP-Settings. Still error. renamed .htaccess to htaccess.txt and I could login again.
T3 has no clean uninstall. Left a folder in wp-content, seems. Uninstall howto. http://goo.gl/zvB4xx
After uninstall I restored the .htaccess and everything works again. Back to WP Super Cache, it doesn't brick sites. &-/
I have used W3 for a long time on a number of sites without issue until lately when I noticed some major slowdowns happening in the admin side and the website side.
I ran the P3 Plugin Profiler and found that W3 Total Cache was adding 2.5 seconds to every request! That is insane. Uninstalled immediately.
It cause my site turned white blank screen and I can do nor deactivate or delete it.
Does not work. Apparantly the whole site must become writable.
Still testing, not sure how effective it is. Very annoyed that we're forced to rate after 30 days by a permanent pop-up. Would have given it a fair rating if good results are achieved and not forced to rate it prematurely.
was forced to rate this plugin before it would allow me to change settings, overall i dont believe this plugin even speeds up my site, if anything it has increased the amount of bloat on the wordpress site.
and very penetrant developer. I recommand Super Cache, because this here has only minimal effect to improve page performance
