I loved this plugin. Unfortunately I updated it today and no matter what area of the admin ( for w3 cache ) I click on, I get this pop up forcing me to add you to my footer, tweet or review. It won't GO AWAY. So I tweeted, added newsletter and now I'm reviewing and it's still there.
** Update ** If I click "Cancel" it goes away for awhile, but... I have a bad feeling it will be back to rear it's ugly head.
I support you guys on Twitter, Facebook and it's ok. But this footer that we can not unselect is not really nice !
I installed the plugin and started getting popups telling me I have been using the plugin for 30 days and gave me 5 options. To "like" them, "tweet" about them, Use their name in the footer, Rate & Review, or join their newsletter. While I appreciate the free plugin, I don't like to be forced in to things, which is exactly what those popups are trying to do. Ever single time I hit save, the damn popup would show. So, you got what you wanted...annoying me to the point of a bad rating.
Well, I just went back to the site and popup still appears...even after rating. So, I will be uninstalling it and installing Super Cache instead. Not sure how many negative reviews you want, before you realize the popup was a BAD idea?
Soon after installation & activation I started to get "500 Internal Server Error" without any chance of recovery. I followed various tips I found in the forums, without success.
I had to remove the plugin manually via FTP because nothing was working anymore.
I wish WordPress would just build these settings into their CMS app!
But as for this needed plugin, it does what it says which is the reason it should receive 4 or 5 stars. But I give it a 1 or 2 stars because of the annoying popups on every link and page, asking for a subscriptions or signup newsletter with the addition of support by adding a footer link or giving a rating on here.
You need to know what you are doing with this plugin. Depending on your server you will need to closely monitor and check each setting to make sure everything is working to it's prime. There are a lot of options and settings. I recommend finding a post from another user on you hosting server to give some hints to avoid troubles.
... was great plugin but not anymore. From something i was installing on every WP come to the point i'm even losing time to remove from old installations and switch to WP Super Cache. Regardless on how good is the plugin it will never see any of my installations when it comes with a bloatware (or call it however you like).
Too complicated, too much advertising and have to pay to use anything
Minify Css link not working in https
Was a good caching plugin until he added a stupid pop-up in admin area that bags for a back-link a subscription and so on, and the annoying part is that it pops up everytime you move to a diffrent setting tab and you have to close it time and time again because save & close button only works for the current tab. So uninstalled and moved to WP Super Cache is just as fast, does what i need to and I'm not force to see a stupid pop-up every time i need to set something up. Enjoy your pop-ups.
Created a mess in my hosting account as this plugin created thousands on files.
