Where the first is run on amazon EC2 with a RDS database and the second on shared hosting in the netherlands.
On the first i didnt even test without it, but after some tweaking i can serve 1000 requests/second on a T2.micro with only apache (no nvingx/varnich reverse proxy etc) Using cloudfront that is. So i'm very happy with it. It does the job freaking well :P (i do have to note, because the instance has SSD acces for caching, basic disk is 3x the reqeust/s compared to APC)
Those who say it doesn't work are completely wrong.
This plugin is NOT for the lighthearted, as it does require certain tweaking at times.
I already have a config that has worked for every site, giving a pageSpeed which originally scored 40, up to 78+.
So I definitely recommend :D
The last month i was forced to use some caching in my WP 4.
W3 Total Cache is a bit faster than the others, a bit heavier for shared hosting, still the most COMPLETE.
I used it for a week with the Standard Disk only and performs very well, didn't break anything (Enhanced Disk had problems).
My only small critisism is the complicated interface. I'm pretty sure it could be easier to understand and follow.
Finally, W3 Total Cache is correctly updating my Home Page when needed, something that some other cache plugins fail.
Thanks for W3 Total Cache, i'm sure it will serve me well when i move to some better hosting plan. For now with my shared plan it is not needed. Smaller and simpler plugins do the job.
Great plugin to turn your website lightning speed.
My site couldn't be faster!
Nice one. Code is poetry.
So fast !!
I have used this plugin on hundreds of sites without issue...except that ANNOYING Admin pop up.
Please do away with that thing!
