Esay download, yet to use
I'm trying to get this to work - as many people love it. I'm here because of the nag - so I want to share the love. Yet, I felt a little forced to do so. I have messed up some sites with this plugin. WP-Supercache is a lot faster to setup, but I had two duplicate sites, one running WP-Supercache and this on the other. W3 was faster, had 1/2 as many requests. Oh well. Back to tinkering!
Only some of this works out of the box with NGINX and Plesk.
There's very limited support online for how to get this working, unless your a sys admin (which I'm not).
It works really nicely but so far dont have it working fully on NGINX.
Three stars because I'm sure it WILL work, but how?
You know, I have used this plugin for a lot of years and it always worked great, however I just installed on new site and it is actually making the site way slower then it was, I mean a lot slower... I know it is not my theme because it is supported and always has been.
Not sure if it is the fact wordpress updated today or what, but for right now I had to go from 5 stars after many years to 3 stars until it gets fixed.
Also, the extra call in the plugin to go pro is quite annoying...
External users seem to benefit greatly but the admin user when logged in is unusable.
It's like 5 starts for clients and 0 stars for the admin.
I need to test and configure it but it seems a good plugin. It could be more user friendly.
I like this plugin
it has loads of options but
the only downside is the maker does not give good descriptions of the options within the plugin. (maybe mouse over ? box would help)
You have to get off your but & hunt down that info on your own.
The maker of this plugin only Supports apache
so if you have lighttpd or nginx & you need the info to make the Rewrite URL structure for the plugin to work.
you will have to find that on your own.
I just feel with a plugin that is used by so many people that he would go the extra mile when it comes to this info.
I am getting "ERROR: Your Sitemap appears to be an HTML page",, checked
forums and the most common fix, is to exclude sitemap from the W3 Cache, but I can't get access to the plugin unless I add a link to my site, or add a review, so here goes.
Still can't access plugin to exclude sitemap, unless I add a link, which isn't appropriate, I don't mind leaving a review, but that's now backfired,, a bit pushy maybe. I will now have to disable and remove the plugin and try something else.
I feel like i'm dealing with a very pushy annoying salesman when I use this plugin. In my face the whole time with that annoying popup and please rate and tweet and the annoying popup omg!
This plugin is defitively increasing my website speed.
But It killed my moabilbe display and I have to disable js minify. =>This plugin doesn't work out of the box and will require proper configuration + proper testing.
When I apdate un article…I have to clear the cache because the blog page etc are not update. Same when I change a widget.
Sometime my permalinks stop working until I reset them…this issue either come from this plugin or WP bulletproef security.
