User Switching works flawlessly for its intended purpose. A must-have for administering sites where you're using different roles and capabilities to control access to front- or back-end areas of a WordPress site.
I had set up my blog so beta readers could go in and download and upload files. I thought I had set it up so they couldn't get to anything extra, that they wouldn't need for the project they were working on. When a friend of mine told me to try this I did. Boy am I glad! I discovered that they had access to blog posts, which I totally didn't want. Now, when I set up a new user I KNOW exactly what they can see. So glad I don't have to hope it's right anymore.
This plugin works beautifully. Just saved me a ton of time troubleshooting a LMS course problem with a student.
I've used hundreds of WordPress plugins in my development history and no other one comes close to this. It does exactly what it says it'll do (and it does it extremely well), it doesn't get in the way of other plugins (I'm looking at you NextGen Gallery!!), and the actual code is easy to read and clean. I recommend this for every WP install.
I manage a community site and this has been indispensable for doing tech support quickly and effectively. It works perfectly, does exactly what it says and I can't imagine maintaining a site without it.
Important that it uses WordPress nonces and other security features; only administrators can switch users.
I use a different user name for posting and editing, than for administration (adding plugins, changing plugin/theme settings, debugging). This lets me switch back and forth, without typing in my very long passwords each time.
Simple and sweet; makes identifying the cause of user-reported behavior so easy. Appreciate the work in putting this together and for making it available.
Very simple, saves lots of clicks and extremely quick and handy for testing purposes.
