This plugin is too complicated to use for even an average user. (not rookie). There are a lot of codings which you have to do to get what you want from this plugin and there is not much clear support or documentation. The dovumentation is neither well organized nor easy to follow. It is like a mess. (sorry). I can not say it is a bad or good plugin because I worked on it over 10 hours and still couldn't figure out how to get what I want from this plugin. It's not because of my abilities but it is really the plugin. I regret I bought it. There is only a 10 minute video in youtube which is also very poor in explanation. The demo forms are also complicated. For exampkle there is a "registration form" which doesn't even ask you to enter a password. You have to implement it yourself but the documenation is too comlicated. If I knew that much coding, I wouldn't need this plugin and handle everything by writing my code myself. Plugins supposed to make things easier, not complicated. Sorry about the bad review but that is my experience with this plugin. I regret I bought it.
Don't install this plugin if you use anti-spam plugin. Because it doesn't work together! Also no support of this plugin.
The Free version of this plugin is the Best version of this plugin, and for what you get its great! However, I try to support Plugin Authors when I can, if they offer a pro version I try to purchase it.
I'll not do that again, Notice everyone who hates this plugin are people who upgraded! You have to dig deep because most reviews are people who use it for free. Do not purchase this plugin unless you are able to do some programming & css for styling. The worst part is after you spend $40 (pretty expensive). There are no refunds! It needs further development to acceptable for the average wordpress user.
Honestly, if i made such a poor product I wouldn't offer refunds either. $40 lesson-merchants who believe in their products stand by their product!
Though it's somewhat hidden on the website go find the refund policy before you consider purchasing!
I strongly recommend purchasing from Code Canyon marketplace where reviews are plainly seen and the product is somewhat tested by experts and also you can demo exactly what you are buying.
Great plugin until it stopped allowing mobiles to upload images. Contacted the developer for support however he was less than helpful. The developer persisted to dodge my request for support.
Don't be fooled by the large amount of "Resolved" markers on his support page. Posts are marked as resolved whether the problem was solved or not (in most cases not) by the developer.
Do not buy USP PRO version, waste $40 money!
the settings panel so big have many options, but even so many options have no working function as such :
>> remember form data
>> custom field don't work
>> multi image upload don't work
email the dev many times and said he don't have time to help me, but also will not refund me--- i believe that is scam for $40.
he should be banned from wordpress community for scam people
Purchased this plugin a few days back, gave it some time (spent about 4 hours trying to get my head around it) and I still have got nowhere.
The usability of this plugin is horrendous, the documentation is terrible (Plugin owner, honestly, a simple 10 min video would have gone far!). Its just an all round un-user friendly plugin. I am now using "WP User Frontend" and in 1 hour I have got more done than the 4 hours I spent on this plugin.
Only wish I could get a refund.
The plugin takes ~60 seconds to submit a post. The author suggested I find a different plugin.
Ok, I will.
When you upload an image, it doesn't show in the post. You have to add code into your theme. Huh? What's the point of a plugin if I have to go messing around with code? Added the code and it STILL doesn't work, just shows a link to the uploaded image.
Ok so I won't use that option, I'll instead just let people submit links. Well, the links don't show up in the article, either.
The visual editor doesn't work, only text.
This plugin should be amazing, and it's really really not. Wasted two hours trying to figure it out and am now giving up.
Some posts go directly to the trash folder and after this the user-submitted images and custom fields are lost. It seems that others had the same problem according to the support threads but unfortunately it was not possible to get any useful advice here how to solve it. I changed to another plugin (as suggested by the plugin author too!) and am really happy with it ...
So I've been searching and searching to find a simple - non logging in situation where a user can share a picture and have it post on a user submitted category page.
Seems like this one would work, it's got it so you can have it go just to the file you intend and it seems to work on the outside.
But when I plugged it in, the images wouldn't share, only the post would!
So I went searching to find out whats up and all I find is a bunch of people throwing code around like its frekn candy! I have no idea what the hell any of it means and I'm a webmaster for a living!
Why is it that I need to plug in additional code to a plugin and the plugin not tell me I need too? If so why do you have this available to the general public and their blogs?
You should take your code to an open source site if your going to pull this kind of party!
GREAT IDEA DUDE, but you earn a FAIL on my end. I don't understand it and it frustrates the crap out of me because there is just crap for user submitted image plugins!
I mean am I wrong here? I did see others complaining about the image part of this too, why did you release this if it's so buggy man?
So what's the deal? Tutorial maybe??
