One of my favorite plugins. I use it on all my projects for a while.

Simple, fast, intuitive, fabulous!

Your plugin is simply fabulous!
Simple, fast, intuitive.

The fact that leverages the wordpress existing interface without adding unnecessary things makes it even more interesting.

Initially I did not understand, could not find the feature.
Then I noticed the button in settings, then the one in the Users and finally the privileges button under each user.
The nice thing is that you can create new users and new privileges and if you change your mind you can easily eliminate.

A free plugin that does all this, and so facilemte!
By now, there are very few like this plugin. Cos'ì well made and simple.

Really congratulations!

Beware: There is no way to remove custom user roles once created

I never post reviews considering it's a waste of time, but this plugin is so terrible I had to chime in. The developer's website shows that the plugin as a "delete" button for user roles, but this is not the case. If you create a custom user role, there is no way to delete it using the plugin's interface... unless you want to upgrade to a paid version. It's a violation of WordPress plugin guidelines to have a free plugin alter a WordPress install, and then require the user to pay in order to remove what the plugin added.

You should look elsewhere for a different plugin that handles user roles more effectively.

Intuitive, works well, and great support for a free plugin

This plugin has been reputable for a long time, but I just reported a minor bug and it was fixed over the weekend. Excellent for a free plugin. I'm sure the paid version is even better!

Thank you!

Works great with the Easy Digital Downloads - Frontend Submissions plugin to allow vendors to delete their own products from the media library. I also use it to block vendor access to the media alt, description, and title fields.

Thanks for creating such a useful plugin!

Great Plugin, Great Support!

So often, I try a new plugin, only to run through the features and find it only does half of what I need (or what it promises)

THIS plugin (I am using the Pro version) has been EXACTLY what I hoped it would be. In fact, this is actually the first time I have felt compelled to leave a review for anything I have used.

The only issue I have had was an error of my own doing. I emailed (late in the PM on a Friday night Pacific time) and received an answer within minutes. I had actually feared I would have to wait out the weekend before hearing back.

Thank You for developing such a great plugin AND for being there to assist your customers in their time of need.

I will be using this on all future client accounts!

Simpleto use

SImple to use plug-in.

It could use a bit more ganularity in control of users vs. role type. But matbe I just dont fully understnd how it works. I simply achieved my goals and sis not spend a lot of time learning details.

A Must!

I'm still thinking why this is not in the core?!

Good solid plugin (But note inside for further capabilities)

Hi guys,

This plugin is perfect but shame it doesn't have further capabilities in the way Adminimize plugin does.

So my work around is that you install this first › then go to edit roles inside user tab › then reset all rules to default WP rules (because if your like me and searched high and low for a good one, you need to clear everything first before starting a fresh)

Then set your options

Then if you need more, install Adminimize and this gives you real depth options. But just using Adminimize on it's own cant break the default editor rule. Thats why you need both
