No way to stop the process or delete unwanted operations
By , for WP 4.0.1

There is no way to stop the process once initiated (and no way to start over), delete unwanted operations or files. I can back up my files from my webhost's cPanel > mySQL quicker and easier AND more efficiently AND upload them to my Dropbox in less time I have spent fighting with this plugin. :(

Migrator Plug-In Should Be Last Resort - Great Support
By , for WP 4.0

The main plugin is fine, but restoration and migration should really only be used in a last resort.

I had a very specific instance in which I was unable to migrate manually. Let me be clear, IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES YOU SHOULD NOT USE A PLUGIN TO MIGRATE. They cause way, way more problems than they solve. I was facing a peculiar, unusual circumstance that prohibited migration through any other way.

The migration plugin is very, very far from perfect, or even good. But it is somewhat functional, which is more than I can say for any other one of the migration plugins I tried (part of this may be because my site is very large... others may work on small sites). So it was necessary and, thanks to their support, came through in the end.

Luckily, support is very good. My first query was not responded to appropriately, but afterward, the plugin staff provided excellent, amazing, and very responsive support. I only wish they had fixed these issues in the plugin and clarified the instructions so that it would not have been needed.

Nag messages for $$ Pro version
By , for WP 4.0

Useful plug-in but it pushes paid add-ons in a nag message at the top of the Add-Ons panel. The "Dismiss for 12 weeks" button really only makes it go away for a week, then it's back.

Not backupping Links
By ,

Very difficult to use, lots of links that I do not know what they are... and the worse... not backupping LINKS... my Notes inside...

Limited features, non so easy to use
By , for WP 4.0

This backup plugin is very basic in its free version. They ask you to pay for the premium version if you want some more. Not so intuitive to use. If you have to clone your WP website take a look at All-in-one WP Migration, which is definitely more complete and easy to use.

other than an installation issue i ran into when updating..
By , for WP 3.6.1

it has been a solid plugin

Very fat, lots of ads, whines about site not working correctly.
By , for WP 3.8.3

They wanted me to give them a review as soon as I installed it. Ok.

This could be a great plugin, I don't know. As soon as I installed this plugin it was displaying a line telling me that javascript/jquery wasn't working correctly with a link telling me the problem was simple to solve...

Turns out they want me to shut down the site and spend 2 hours debugging the problem (they provide step by step instructions, so helpful!) Problem is theirs -- this site works fine without them. Client laughed when I asked if they wanted to pay for debugging 3rd party software that had just been installed....

Other issue is that the admin page is COVERED with ads for all kinds of stuff that I should be excited about, Right? Nah.

On deinstallation I saw the longest list of files I have ever seen in a plugin, seriously...

Thanks guys!

The best so far

Good plugin, a few core features come for free, extra dollars to be paid if you want more. The only one regularly updated, as for now.

possible plugin conflict
By , for WP 3.5.1

Caveat: I didn't build this site, so don't know if it's something else, but this would save settings, but none of the actual buttons would work. Neither 'test FTP setup' nor 'backup now', in particular. And the 'enable advanced settings' link just went to a hash tag in the URL, so it seems like some WP-Admin javascript is borked.

My other plugins:

ManageWP - Worker (not active)
Regenerate Thumbnails
Revision Control
TinyMCE Advanced
Widget Logic
wpcu3er (not active)

Good, but doesn't fully work correctly

The plugin will create backups. But, the plugin page lists them with the local timestamp whereas the actual backup files are created using UTC. So, you have to FTP to your server and manually download the backup files.
