Uji Countdown - HTML5 Customizable Countdown Timer
Also, on the version I downloaded (1.3.2) there was no option for hours/seconds.
The plugin is easy and beautiful, just perfect!
The plugin was very easy to setup. I went to edit an existing page. I clicked on the short code button. Added the countdown clock code very easily. Once I hit save and I went to check out the page, the countdown did not appear anywhere on the page. I tried to see if I did anything wrong, but all looked fine from the setup area.
Then I noticed that not only did the countdown clock load, the code wrecked the page. I had a lot of content with images and bullet points, all of it was whacked after trying to add countdown.
Thank goodness for WordPress restore feature. I was able to restore my page before I messed with this plugin, so all was fine without having to go back and fix everything manually.
I've deleted this plugin. Not worth the hassle to mess with it anymore.
Nope. This just didn't work for me.
Hopefully responsive feature will be added soon.
I gave it a fair try. I wanted to upgrade, but really?!
First had pretty good feeling about the plugin but then started the bugs to surface and didn't see end to those... Had to uninstall after the counter started randomly throw out people to non-existing pages.
Buggy like hell. Destroyed our launch by constantly misbehaving. Even though the option of "hide timer after it expires" was chosen (and not the "redirect to URL" option, it kept redirecting visitors off to a non existent page adding the word "false" (eg. our sales page was at example.com/sales/ and visitors were redirected to example/com/sales/false - which resulted in a 404 error.
And the HUGE bug in the plugin, is that our server is in PST timezone. So for someone who visited from a timezone much ahead (say, like GMT+8 - like London, UK), the plugin was redirecting to the fake page, but when we tried it, it would load fine because it hadn't expired for the visitor in the "right" time zone.
Bottomline: Doesn't matter if it's free, but even if they paid us, we wouldn't use it.
After spending an hour looking for a suitable countdown plugin, I found Uji Countdown. This is exactly what I need! Other plugins were clunky, coded poorly, incomplete, and difficult to use. I wanted to add a countdown timer to two pages, and this plugin works well. The color customizations are easy to implement. Though some of the color choosing fields appear to not select, I can look past that because I picked the colors I wanted from the color picker. Most of all, the design looks SLICK, and fits in with my theme perfectly. If I need to add multiple counters to a single page, I would be more than willing to purchase the upgrade.
This is one of the first plugins that requires little configuration and easy setup. I'm very happy with it.
