I created a taxonomy using types plugin width 'show_in_nav_menus' checked. Also created some items under it. I added taxonomy items to the Menu.
Then I created a new user (Administrator), and logged in using it. Then I had to edit the menu items. But I can't see taxonomy I created earlier there. But 'show_in_nav_menus' is still checked.
Helped me alot!
I had a programmer build my site 2 years ago and he told me to update this plugin myself and I got hit with the $300 fee. He said it would be free for me to register and had no feedback when I said it wasn't. Too bad, but what is worse is I can't find a way to use it on a new project and post 4 pictures with names underneath on one page without hiring him again. I don't find the help forum easy to use. It took me 15 min to actually get through all the hurdles and post the question. The answer was off target though they tried probably.
Good product but I am hoping you create a video on what I want to do (just four photos of dentists 2 per row name underneath) or get included in a Lynda.com video. It should be simple right?
I have WordPress experience, between 5-8 years, building sites and managing them.
Great plugin, I love to use it. To be a complete solution it lacks support for many-to-many relationship between posts. Yes, I know about creating intermediate post type but I think it should be more convenient for user to manage.
There are also some issues with repeatable fields in related posts.
Been using it for a couple of years and it's fantastic. Only missing relational types and new input fields like colour pickers and so on, that other similar plugins do have (like advanced custom fields).
I don't find this plugin to be quite as polished and user-friendly as I'd like (it'd be brilliant if the style really merged properly into the native WordPress look) but those are small bug bears.
I've tried a couple of types plugins and the power and ease of use of this are unmatched. Really helped me put my site together. Thanks
After 2 days of testing I have decided that Types is not suitable for the kind of websites I have in mind. The deficiency is the parent child feature is not powerful enough to properly implement other kinds of relationships that entities may have. This is something that Pods with is Pick feature and Magic Fields with its "Related Type" feature does very easily. This is regrettable as Types is quite a good plugin and with respect to documentation vastly superior to Pods and Magic Fields and with respect to stability superior to Pods.
