This is my go to plugin for everything CPT and custom fields. Robust and reliable, great UI, good documentation, regular updates. One of my favorite plugins.
You are simply awesome. I put together a site with CPT's and Custom Fields very nicely with the help of this great tool. Bonus: the client liked my setup, and asked if I could do the same thing on another of their sites. I said yes, but then the real cool thing emerged: I was able to export my Types stuff from Site1 and import them into Site2. Talk about excellent. Saved me a lot of time!
I get around, and I've got to say, your plugin is so nicely put together and easy to use. I have also experimented with Pods, which has very nice technology, but the documentation is slim, and you really can't hope to get any support, or at least I didn't when I asked on their "forum". Whereas so far at the rare times I've needed to look something up about Types, I found the answer in the docs!
For custom fields I've had a great time using Custom Field Template, which is a superb plugin. Yet Types gives you all that, CPT's, easy GUI features, and a bag of chips. ;)
I haven't even needed Views, as I'm very geeky, but I will certainly consider it if the need arises.
Super Job, Team!
I use Types & Views (Toolset) in nearly ALL of my websites! Great support, too!
Simple to use - wide range of custom field types available
I'm still currently playing with this extensive plugin. It is a freemium offering of the authors' Toolset plugin, which includes a display engine and form processor. Because it is freemium, the authors are very committed to it, as it is a gateway to their other products. I have posted support tickets, and their support is amazing, even for the free extension. This is a major free plugin that doesn't look like it will be going dead in the water anytime soon. And even if it does, it has an export feature that lets users use the created custom types, etc. without the plugin installed.
Probably the best CPT plugin ever ;) congrats
super this is greate plugin....
After activating this plugin, I can no longer view my media library items. It took me FOREVER to find out what was causing it, and it was this plugin. Images would be in my media collection, and would show up in the 'numbers' (attached, unattached, etc.) ..but no thumbnails, no items in library, just an empty list. Oops guys? Something need to be fixed after 3.8 maybe??
Well done... but in practice this plug-in by itself does the half of the job: it creates the custom post type but doesn't help in the display.
In practice either you BUY the other half of the plug-in (called Views) or you have to dig A LOT in the code.
