Great Plugin. Microdata Support?
By , for WP 4.0

Love this plugin. Started adding microdata to the theme title which caused check to fail.

"REQUIRED: The theme needs to have <title> tags, ideally in the header.php file."

This fails theme check:
<title itemprop="name"><?php wp_title( '|', true, 'right' ); ?></title>

This passes:
<title><?php wp_title( '|', true, 'right' ); ?></title>

I guess it does not recognize microdata.

Creates confusion
By , for WP 4.0

Throws warning on userful functions. It seems the plugin assumes that some function base64_encode/decoe are only used for hacking purpose "only", it is a very effective function which can be used in multiple ways to encrypt and decrypt data which you do not want wordpress to process. Not only does this create confusion in users but you're spreading a wrong message.

What a shock!

Just ran this plugin on a theme I bought and installed, and what a shock!
Loads of Warnings, errors, and needed fixes.

Thank you for inventing this great plugin, just wish I could have used it before I paid. No refunds.

Thank you~

Love it!

It's a good tool if you want to develop themes. I use it on my development site to verify my theme doesn't bring up errors before I make a theme go live.

Great for developers and regular users alike
By , for WP 4.0

This is great for developers to check their themes for issues. It's handy for regular users to check if their theme is doing anything fishy, too.

It's a good idea to run this before releasing a new theme or update and periodically after this plugin has been updated, or WordPress itself (deprecated functions).

The latest update is great. Now it check for themes encroaching on plugin territory by registering post types, taxonomies, shortcodes, etc. It even checks for sanitization of Customizer settings which is a really easy thing to overlook.
