Glad to see the latest version 1.2 now working perfectly again, ththanks to developer Daniel :)
Very well designed plugin and an awesome addition to our site.
This plugin works as described. However I find it useless for posting news items about a particular subject. The plugin search just doesn't work. Very disappointing all round really given the potential.
It would be better if you could enter a URL of an existing article you want to publish rather than try use the search. The Guardian website suggests related articles when you are currently viewing one, so why this plugin search is so bad I have no idea.
Also, the images are not reproduced in the blog post either, making articles less interesting when posted to your own site. It would be nice to include the article image as a "feature" image.
When "Saving to Drafts" the page refreshes and you are back on page 1, so if you have scrolled 22 pages to find a relevant article, it is time consuming to get back to where you pressed "save as draft".
I do hope they continue to develop this plugin as it could be really useful, and of course would help to promote the Guardian, but as it stands, it is just taking too much time to find articles to post.
The most frustrating thing is when you see an article you want to post, you can't find it through the plugin so you have no way of posting it to your site :/
Updated to the new version of this plugin and was surprised that I had to re-register for the service (I don't think there was any mention of this in the update notice).
I was also surprised to see that there is now no up to news content. All the news content available is from several weeks ago.
If this is just a glitch then I'm happy to review the rating once fixed.
* UPDATE - I have received a reply and it appears that they are aware of the problem and are working on a fix.
** UPDATE - No sign of a fix yet
This plug-in enables one to import articles from the Guardian into posts and works perfectly.
I would like it even more if it enabled me to import articles directly into pages. As it is I am having to put a link from a page to the post - as here, for example:
Something for an update, perhaps?
