Installed fine, but just didn't want to activate. After several troubleshooting attempts, moved on to another plugin. There are plenty others.
Author recommends a "debugging routine" to get a standard plugin like this working. Seriously, get your things together...
That plugin was ok, until I discovered faults in it. Tried for some support and a really arrogant support guy/developer Michael Cannon who likes making you feel stupid and requires you to suck up to and jump through hoops to sooth his fragile ego insults your intelligence. I have read through many post and when you have a problem he takes it personally and defends his plugin to the hilt! the..you know...I'm right and your wrong no matter what. I don't need the grief that these types of so called expert prima donna's create. I respect their expertise but get real....your not my master and your no better than me in this world...
AFTER I UPLOAD PLUGINS AND I ACTIVATE, I SEE BLANK SCREEN
PHP version 5.4.21
Wasted my time!
Plugin "Testimonials by Aihrus" has been deactivated as it requires PHP 5.3.0 or newer. You're running PHP 5.2.17. Once corrected, "Testimonials by Aihrus" can be activated.
I have everything that i can update updated, so in order to use this i either have to wait for my hosting company to update the PHP they use or switch hosting companies.
Site crashed with Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STATIC, expecting ')' in /home3/reatatec/public_html/wp-content/plugins/testimonials-widget/lib/aihrus/class-aihrus-common.php on line 44 after applying update. As a non-programmer it was a considerable effort to get site back up again. Doesn't anyone test this stuff? Removed this plugin for good as soon as site started functioning again!
A recent minor update broke the layout on one of my sites. That may be alright for a major point update, but certainly not for a .x update, and certainly not without a clear warning in the changelog (which I always read before updating anything).
Makes me scared to use this plugin on bigger sites. Not recommended.
This was a solid plugin that worked well and provided most of what I needed, despite a few minor flaws (i.e. unable to hide quotations). However, with the latest updates the product quality has changed significantly and the support is non-existent. Large chunks of the Settings UI no longer functions, and the areas that do clearly do not function correctly.
I can understand problems in development, but the lack of support is unacceptable for a product at this stage of development.
