Easy to use, yet powerful and a highly customizable sliding shelf for your site! Slide your target content/widget into and out of the visible page. Th
Whoever developed this one seems to know exactly what folks need, especially in the ecommerce areana. I absolutely love the control structure; so powerful.
I give it three stars however, after having purchased and evaluated the PRO version which is sadly not compatible with WP 4.1.x. It appears to me from the private forum and the releases that the plugin dev just plain died about 11 months as of this writing.
With a few things fixed this would be such a great plugin, something I and others would certainly be willing to pay premium for.
Looked at a few plugins for a sliding menu, this one was my favorite. It has simple settings for the layout of the tab, but has every bit of customization that I needed.
Beatiful and strong. Fully customizable, everything you can change. Works fine in 4.0. And most important is this: you can choose on what devices should appear, mobile, desktop or both!
Upgraded to the pro version, but API code that was emailed does not work and never could complete the upgrade "Go Pro". Forum help is sparse, and documentation is almost minimal. I really wanted to use this plugin but I don't think it's 4.0 compatible. (His Website doesn't mention that). I wasted my money on this one. If the developer puts more time in this, it will be one of the better sliders.
Here is an honest review - this plugin can be extremely powerful, BUT you need to be comfortable doing some code and back-end programming. Nothing too complicated, but if you really want to get the best out of the plugin, knowledge of some html and php is necessary. For example: the dropdown options allow for a subscribe/opt-in form...but there are no front end controls for the form. So you need to manually navigate through your web files to the correct folder, find the plugin's subscribe.php template, and manually enter the php code that links the user input to your mailing list, etc. I use the "custom" option, where you are creating the php form on your own from scratch, and the pop-out tab will display my custom contents. You really can put anything in there, but again need to know what you're doing.
The documentation is very, very weak...there really isn't any, which I don't understand. If the author took a little time on creating a user manual, it would add significant value. Because of this, it is absolutely NOT for beginners.
All that being said, if you know a little about coding, this can be awesome. Another little trick I use for the tabs: you can set the tab to any image in your library...so if you use an animated .gif, you can create and awesome tab that catches the user's eye. You can see how I used it here: [ link redacted, please do not post links in reviews ]
I hope that helps, good luck!
would buy if it showed on all pages.
there is 1 home page in a different language that it doesn't show up on, which makes it kind of unreliable. I mean, what other pages that I haven't checked is it not going to show on?
Thanks to zoranc for getting back to me :)
Perfect, worked wonderfully for me, after having tried many different
I'll give some money soon !
Frustrating oversight: no context control.
The plugin doesn't explain WHERE the plugin finds a home. Turns out, it only appears on pages that have a right sidebar (no full-width pages). Pretty hit and miss... and no way to control that. (Needs some widgetization.)
Doesn't work as well in IE?
1. BIG surprise!!
2. Who Cares... (any browser that requires "me only" code hacks doesn't deserve the support)
I have the plugin working on three sites, the root plus two more.
Using varied child themes from Vantage.
Thanks for your efforts, much appreciated,
