This plugin has worked well for what I've used it for. Then again, I've only used the accordion functionality of it for FAQ pages for some of my clients.
Like other reviewers, this plugin did nothing but blow up my site, most likely because it conflicted with other plugins or the theme (Enfold, which is extremely common). I was not able to access any admin functions, so I tried to delete the shortcode plugin folder via FTP. Still dead. I deleted ALL of my plugins and the plugin folder itself, and reinstalled everything from scratch. Site works again but at half the speed of before.
Avoid this plugin at all costs.
Works well enough, but various menus and interfaces are kind of heavy on the upsell messaging (to the point of spammy). I appreciate and support the plugin development community, but it is a bit much and ultimately went with another solution.
Basically, doesn't do what it claims to do. Hopeless :(
Plug in causes conflicts with the Churchope theme. Stopping Churchope Shortcodes from working.
Does everything I expected it to. Only problem is it's EXTREMELY difficult to alter through CSS. Very poor choice in naming the divs and id's. Took me hours to figure out how to alter the look of the tabbed menu alone, not to mention the columns.
It seems the typography features I was looking for are not available with the free version.
Massive overkill in a CMS that already has too many external file calls... This one is far too top heavy for me
Strongbad would give synved 4 stars I bet, maybe even 5. So far, Synved shortcodes has worked beautifully. I even managed to to get the accordion plugin to fire during a hover event instead of a mouseclick. (more on that here: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/get-accordion-to-open-during-hover-event-onmouseover?replies=1#post-4200649 ).
Not able to edit the zero space between columns, resulting in no pixel separation between text and images when viewed in certain browsers.
When asking for support help, received a brush off answer of "go learn CSS" - If I wanted to learn CSS I wouldnt beusing plugins, now would I?
