Free and easy way to double your email subscribers. Also, Sharing tools to double your traffic from Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest & more.
I don't know how to rate this plugin yet Because my site hasn't been released yet to the search engines. But I'm hopeful it will be helpful. Everything looks good so far. Obviously I'll know more about it in time.
Like others, I am not a huge fan of the "pay me to remove the blue button" functionality, which in my opinion violates the Plugin Guidelines (specifically point 10) and should be grounds for being pulled from the repo.
That being said, I love the functionality of the plugin, and have seen a noticable uptick in subscribers as a result.
Remove the ransomware, and this is an easy five-star review for me.
I'm overall impressed with the UX and there are enough features in the free version to get one started. I am already figuring on buying the paid features down the road. Hopefully there will be some improvements/additions in the future.
I had some trouble at first understanding how to get it really working on a site of mine because the instructions weren't super clear. There are a few ways of using sumome to capture email addresses but they have different names that kinda took me getting used to it first to understand oh, this one is the one up top. And the behavior areas are a bit different for each of the email capture apps. I don't want the sharing to be on special download pages, for example, and it took a wee bit of work to figure out where to tell sumome to exclude certain pages on my site so they wouldn't see the 'Grab my free prize for your email'.
But I have to say that once you get them active, wow. Especially the sharing bar. It's the best. Visitors have used this big time, even when I had other sharing plugins installed. No one used those. People use the one I have from sumome.
I added the email list tool to my website last week, and I'm already seeing more people subscribing. It's hard to stand out with a travel blog, and this plugin is really helping me make my mark.
Thanks to the dude that made this thing!
