Didn't work for me and I had cpanel and delete the plugin to regain access to site.
I was looking for an easy login plugin that simply changed the wp-login.php file. Having this will limit most attacks on the the server for my sites anyway. Not a total solution but one where it would stop auto-bots.
If you install this plugin, it will look like it works. But instead, check your wordpress site as http://www.example.com/login (Change example here with your domain-do not use wp-login.php)
WordPress login function will automatically redirect you to the 'hidden login page'. As you understood, your hidden url is viewable for anybody...
