If you have any type of issue with the program, your are on your own. In my case when you select "all Post" from the tab, the system creates an error. I have debugged the issue , but can get no response from the authors of the plugin.
I've been looking for an "author" or "bio" plugin for several days and you know, it's funny (in irony, not ha ha or LOL). After all the reviews on numerous plugins I've read, I've begun to notice not only a pattern to the reviews of all the various plugins, but an outright duplication of reviews!!!
Not only are the reviews similar to one another on most, if not all, the plugins I've looked at, they are EXACTLY THE SAME!!!!!!! Are you people (or one or 2 persons) SERIOUS!?! Do you not believe that eventually someone like me will figure out that you guys aren't real users giving honest reviews?!? Come on, you don't even try to use proper grammar!!!!!
And WordPress, SHAME ON YOU!!!! for if not hiring these idiots, at the very least, allowing these reviews to stay posted.
i used to add social accounts to authors but now you can only add twitter and facebook account if you need to add linkedin and other stuff they require you to buy pro version. when i first installed it was not like this. shame on you, you could develop new functions and try to sell them instead of removing functions and selling them.
Using the shortcode, [starbox] does not work if you try to place it at a specific spot below the post. I've seen several people ask for help with this in the support section, and no one from the team replied back to them. So unless you know what you're doing, do not, I repeat, do not install StarBox.
The functionality looks great for this plugin but almost all of the screen shots provided are actually from the pro version of the plugin.
It is impossible to save anything on the user provide with Starbox Pro installed.
Waste of money for something that does not work properly.
Tried contacting support but no response and I suppose very little chance of a refund.
This is against WP plugin directory rules. Because of this I give you 1 star delete the plugin and report you..! Sorry but open source is open source...! you can have upgraded features but I honestly think WP plugin directory is becoming overwhelmed with people taking advatage of it.
You can buy Starbox without links and subscription from: http://starbox.squirrly.co/product/starbox-the-author-box-for-humans/ or Go to your use profile just switch off "Powered By Starbox" (under the social icons). It has a global effect for all the authors.
the checkbox to hide custom post types is always checked - I can uncheck it but can't save it, it reverts back again.
I am not sure plugins can do that... It should be optional and it should not happen without the blog owner enabling it?
Fantastic plug-in - but they don't tell you until after you have it installed that the only way you can use the social network icons is to sign the email of each individual user account in your install up for their mailing list to activate access to the icons. This is beyond slimey!
I have over 90 user accounts on my WP install and NO WAY will I be requiring all of those contributors - some of whom aren't even with the publication any longer - to sign up to be on a mailing list they aren't interested in so that we can have a feature on our website for them. Other plug-ins offer the same functionality without the sneaky strong arm. UNINSTALL.
