I was looking for a plugin that would allow me to simply copy/paste HTML for an already created splash page using bootstrap. This plugin delivered with it's Custom HTML Content option. I simply uploaded the required files to a "splash" directory on my server (via FTP), updated my links to the css, imaged etc, and then pasted my code in! DONE!
100% my own custom maintenance mode page! Love it!
The Disable Maintenance Mode for your IP option is perfect for allowing clients to get past the maintenance mode page without having to log is awesome as well!
Custom HTML is very useful
You said it's a smart, try with a different name bro.
or improve your plugin.
This is a great idea. As a "regular non technical user" it's useless, though. The user role functionality doesn't work at all and I'm not savvy enough to use the IP method which others have said works.
If you're somewhat tech savvy maybe this is for you. If you're hoping for all the functions to work and be able to use "user roles" keep looking.
I like the timer.. looks great, but once the plugin is activated, I can't see the front end unless I use the IP Range. The 'User Roles' feature doesn't work which is a bummer because I have several people that want to work on the blog and I don't have the time to keep updating IP ranges as we all move around.
Simple, updated to work on WP 4.0, using it right now whilst I update with new content and a new theme too!
Installed and worked well. I had a minor issue but the developer was quick to help.
It a good thing that you have created this plugin.
Actually this is a very handy plugin for WordPress. As a developer I have put my site for a maintenance mode often and after using this plugin it made the work easier for me.
And one good thing is that you have provided an option to enable the site for IP based so ONLY I can see the modification.
Keep it up. :)
I just think that one checkbox for enable is more conscious that one for disable (assuming so that blog will be at this way all time).
Another thing, when I am logged as administrator, it is interesting for me to be able to see the blog as in non-maintenance mode.
