Tribulant Slideshow Gallery

Good product

Works well except
By , for WP 4.2.2

Works well except 3 things that are cumbersome. Maybe I am missing an easier way to do them.

1. The description from wp media library is not linked to the description of the Tribulant slideshow. Have to enter it separately.
2. Portrait sized pictures were just cut to fit slideshow rather than shrunk. Can this be changed?
3. I needed to edit the description in multiple slides after they were uploaded and saved to a gallery. Had to open each slide under manage slides, make change, save change and repeat. Would like to make all changes at once and save all together. This took a whole lot of time.

Otherwise, plugin works well.

Works pretty good but I would like some tweaks.

Works fine, pretty easy to use. Pretty intuitive user interface. Shows up well on my Galaxy 4S, too, except as noted

I haven't fine tuned it so maybe the slide show shows the actual image size. Wish I could say how big I want the image.

Just checked my phone and perhaps this is in the settings too, but the thumbnails are too large for the display when the phone is held vertically so that a good third of the photo is covered up. Actually the silmstrip covers of the picture on the desktop, too, just not as much. You should have the option of having the filmstrip entirely below the picture.

I would also like to control the picture size so I could have the slide show with film strip on the side with text on the other side, sort of like the Portfolio works in the Virtue theme, but I want the slide show. This may be available to but just haven't figured it out.

Update: Does work, but not that easy to handle

Got it working after a comment from the admin, but i think its not easy to use.

A more detailed quick tutorial would be nice.

Slideshow Gallery
By , for WP 3.7.1

Earlier I rated version 1.5.0 with a 1 and made a large complaint. When You asked for login info, I thought NEVER! So I went about finding a new slide show plugin. A shame really, as I liked this one. Then version 1.5.1 was issued and I tried it. It works so far. I'll keep you posted. The only problem is you keep asking for "Slideshow Gallery: It seems like your theme is missing the wp_head() function. " and "Slideshow Gallery: It seems like your theme is missing the wp_footer() function. " and yet, it is there. You are taking up valuable real estate on my page! Stop it! Thank you for the update.

i like it

Slideshow slow to load

Overall, I like the slide show, though it is slow to load.

Major Updates tend to break existing slides
By , for WP 4.0

Sadly Version 1.5 again broke my slide show completely. This is the third time that has happened with a major upgrade and required me to work on the slides again. I rolled back to and its fine again.

Plugin works OK on desktop, but isn't responsive enough for handheld devices. Seems to have a few CSS issues that need to be ironed out, such as slider width.

Adaquate Basic Slidshow, But With Problems
By , for WP 4.0

This is a decent basic slideshow plugin, but there are a few things about it that keep me from rating it better.

First, it would be great to be able to use images already in the Media Library. Even if you've already added it there, you have to upload it again into the slideshow you want.

The most irritating thing for me is how the thumbnail slider screws up with slideshows having a huge number of slides. The plugin style sheet forces the slider to have a certain width that is much less than the actual width, so the thumbs end up in invisible rows below the ones that made the cut. It is corrected with a simple edit in one of their CSS files, but they keep overwriting it with every single update, so I have to go in and make the same change again and again. Maddening. I have posted ticket after ticket about this issue, but either they don't understand what the problem is, or they don't care, because they would tell me it should be fixed this time, but the next update always messes it up again. At this point I have given up on trying to get them to fix it, and I just take the ten seconds to edit the CSS.
