Good subscribe system, not so much, emails
By , for WP 1.2.3.1

My subscribers who come from WordPress are receiving 2 notifications of new posts. I'd like to be able to turn it off, so I am not spamming them.

Super potential....

Massive slow down of page load time
By , for WP 3.8

Plugin is is good, quite reliable except for debug() function clash with some other plugins. My biggest gripe though is its massive hit on page load time increasing this by 1-1.8 seconds taking total load time approx 1.8-2.3 normal to 3.5- 4.2 seconds (when most visitors give up after 2-3 seconds).
This compares badly with 35 other plugins together taking a total of .9 seconds.
These measurements were done with P3 Plugin Profiler.

Best in class!

Very neat plugin compared to all others I could find. It does exactly what is supposed to. Very clean UI. I had a problem activating it on one of the sites. The response from the author was instant. Despite that was a host problem, the support was fantastic! "Simple and clean" has a meaning here.

Active-Inactive subscriber

It's a very nice plugin, Thank you!

Just one question: what is Active-Inactive subscriber means?

Very good plugin that is easy to use and with exceptional good support

For a while I 've been looking for a easy to use subscribe plugin. I have tested a number of plugins without being really pleased, until I found Simple Subscribe.

What I especially appreciate is the simplicity of sending automated mailings to subscribers when new posts are added up and that you can use the manual mail function to send simple HTML formatted newsletters .

The support is much better than one could ever expect, which is also a reason why I got hooked on "Simple Subscribe".

At the start I had trouble getting the email send function to work, which led to me terrorizing the support - sometimes with stupid questions .

Anyway, it turned out that the solution to the problem had to do with my host provider one.com:

There are limitations on 20-25 emails per day if you do not use a real address created on the domain account . In order to fix this you must:

1 :)
Create an address postmaster @ [your domain] at one.com 's administration pages.

2 :)
Then you have to put the same e-mail address in the " Sender 's email address" field in the settings of Simple Subscribe.

I recommend Simple Subscribe to all who want a simple and effective plugin that is constantly evolving and getting better,

I look forward to a multilingual version.
Good job & keep up the good work!

I've downloaded this plugin few weeks ago, it was very simple to install & even though I had a small issue (other plugin for interfering), the author helped me almost immediately!

Good job & keep up the good work!
