Excellent plugin. I can't tell you how valuable it becomes to see the history of what changes have been made on a website, especially when you are managing a site that has multiple people logging in and making updates/changes. I also find that it helps me to see bruteforce login attempts. A great plugin to install on client websites as well.
If you would like to keep up with login history, changes on your site and track your steps then this plugin does a perfect job.
Highly recommended, well done authors / developers.
Simple set up, big benefit. Now installed on all my sites.
9 failed ADMIN login attempts by the same IP were recorded by Simple History. (ADMIN was not username.) I would have had no idea.
My webhost blocked the IP address and I changed everything.
Thank you for such a great plugin.
Every time I log in, Simple History gives me a quick summary of who has added or changed content, what forms have been submitted, whether someone has tried some login mischief. I can scroll back and track down what plugins were activated or updated around the time that some particular page stopped working. And when I needed support, Pär was there with help in my inbox almost immediately.
Makes it really easy to see who’s logged in and what’s changed – great tool, highly recommended.
Straightforward way to track user login activity on a site, both legitimate and attempted. ["Admin," really?] Helps track additions and changes made and avoid doing work when a client is logged in on the site.
Works well, much simpler than Stream, and much better for it
This plugin is great for learning what has happened to the website while you were away. Really helps in learning what pages have been updated and such.
I use this plugin to see who has tried to log in as "admin" or another nonexistent username, then I block ranges of IP addresses using the WordFence plugin.
