Create simple, elegant footnotes on your site. Use the [ref] shortcode and the plugin takes care of the rest.
I added this to my suggested plugins of Role Based Help Notes years ago.
its an elegant way to create a little more flexibility to notes and documents, always great to have up your sleeve.
I was expecting to install this plugin and perform various changes to the source files but for what it does, this is a very elegantly coded piece.
For future upgrades, please keep it lightweight and simple as it is.
Working on a new theme for an existing WordPress user who had an older version of the plugin in place on their live website.
I activated the plugin with our new theme on our development server and it worked perfectly at activation. No migration or upgrade issues.
working just fine even without any updates for more than 2 years
The plugin is easy to use and works as advertised.
I would like a few customization options, such as being able to rename the "Notes" header to something like "References" and perhaps changing the formatting of the numbering (e.g., letters, Roman numerals, numbers in parentheses, etc.).
Is there, per chance, a newer version in the works with some of these updates?
Super easy to use. Works great!
I would appreciate a few customization options (custom heading and for "notes section" etc.) and most importantly a button to TinyMCE editors. But than again, everything of this can be done by myself.
Five stars for the idea!
When I use this plugin, if I put more than ten footnotes in a post, the footnote numbers reset to zero after the tenth footnote. In the text, the numbers continue to go up, but in the footer they start over. There are no settings anywhere for me to futz with. Does the developer have a solution for this?
This plugin does exactly what it promises. It easy to use and it nicely puts the footnotes at the bottom of every page. One additional suggestion for the developer. Create a brackets option. That would make it possible to make a footnote look like '' or '(1)' rather than just '1'. But nevertheless great plugin.
