With Simple Fields you can add any kind of custom fields to your pages, posts and attachments.
This plugin changed the way I use WordPress. It makes it so easy to use and organize custom content across posts and pages, and especially works very nicely with custom post types, too.
Check out the quick explanation of how to use at http://simple-fields.com/documentation and you'll be up and running in minutes.
If I could only use one plugin for WordPress — this would be the one.
Really solved my Headache...Thanks alot
Straight forward, effective, useful! And it works!!!
Prompt response and accurate support from the plugin author.
I use this on nearly every project and I love it.
I always start off doing everything I can not to use it for the sake of having fewer plugins, but it almost invariably ends up being the best, quickest, and most powerful solution to whatever data entry problem I'm having.
The learning curve is decently easy (if you can code) and once you've got it, you'll find yourself amazed at the ease and possibility. It has the ability to easily set and change fields from PHP, which is so useful!
You can use this one alone to do so many things you would have installed more plugins for.
Don't spend hours coding some crap yourself. Use this. Light, quick, excellent.
Really the best plugin for custom fields
Great, simple, clever, SMART ... !
So easy to use and to understand that it suddenly came up the idea to create a personal custom class to output specific HTML for any possibile field created. Thank you so much.
When you are adding a post, this plugin will add a box of extra fields below where you add your content. You can create the extra fields from admin.
The only problem is that the output will be on every single post page, unless you have a separate template designated to use the extra fields that you create. If you do create/have more than one template, "Simple Fields" lets you designate which template to use.
Very happy with this plugin - greatly appreciated!
I've recently been using Simple Fields on my projects and it has quickly become an essential tool when developing for WordPress.
It adds a quick way to add meta boxes and custom fields to custom post types through a simple API.
The plugin author also been very helpful and providing great support when trying to wash out a problem caused by another plugin.
I gladly recommend this plugin!
It's simply unfare that you judge a plugin by your inability to understand it's use.
You're not helping other users nor helping the developer, since you didn't bother to corroborate your statement.
If take the time to make a review, I would expect you to back-up what you say, giving examples of what went wrong and what you're trying to do with the plugin.
I've tested dozens of plugins just to learn what they do or how they're made, some of them I can't understand or make use of, but I won't bother the developer if it's my own inability in stake – unless I really want to use the plugin and have a serious question.
And I'm not just saying this because I don't like to give poor reviews. I gave my own bad reviews in the past. Maybe I was wrong, but at least I backed up my statements.
