Simple 301 Redirects provides an easy method of redirecting requests to another page on your site or elsewhere on the web.
If you need a simple way to redirect and old page/post to a new URL this is the one, it is so simple and easy to use!!!!!!!!
I am getting Google Page Speed recommendations to leverage browser cache and a number of other things.
I have found recommendations to edit the .htacess with cache code.
I did that but it was not recognized.
Does this plug in redirect .htaccess some how? I can't walk away from the 301 redirect - it is working perfectly (slight delay yes - but thus far no loss in organic positioning with Google).
Any ideas? Recommendations? Thanks in advance for your help. I am careful to not just plop in plugins having just recovered from a plug in that broke my site - mid day. Customer was NOT happy.
Simple, easy to use, and works flawlessly. I'd love it to come with a 404 error monitor too, however, so i could just click on the errors as they come in and it would auto fill the redirected page field.... you know, if you feel so inclined :)
LOVE the wildcard ability! It made my redirecting 73 pages a cinch!
Simple to use, easy to understand.
Just added about 20 entries, including some with wildcards, then tested and redirects worked.
I love this plugin and used it to fix a soft 404 error. It worked perfectly. I then used it to fix about 150 url's. I know Google says you don't have to fix them, but I did.
Thank you very much,
Does the job, and seems to be the same approach as all wordpress 301 plugins, but I could still wish for a UI that shows up while editing posts and pages.
This is the easiest 301 redirect method I've ever used! I love how it supports relative urls, absolute urls, and wildcards. Very powerful and flexible at the same time.
I accidentally changed my old permalinks to my new domain name, hence trying out this plugin. I've tried putting the old URL in the Request field and the new one in the Destination field but it still doesn't work.
This is the old URL -
And this is the new one - http://heneedsfood.com/quinoa-fruit-nut-bars/
Can somebody please tell me which parts of each of these URLs to put into the required Request and Destination fields in the plugin settings?
Thanks so much!
