I have been doing this manually for a while, and wasn't able to release it to others because consistency would suffer. With the structure this plugin provides, I can release the process to others without worrying if they will be consistent. And as a bonus, the end result is strikingly similar to what I've been doing by hand.
I needed a plugin for church site we were building and this plugin was AMAZING! I'm not a paid spokesperson :) In fact I found the plugin for free here and was so impressed with the power I went to site just to pay them for making an awesome plugin. The ability to sort by service or preacher, add Bible verses etc is awesome for the large church site we are building that has traditional, contemporary and youth service and wanted to be able to have them all on their church website. Looks great and works on mobile.
And if you missed my joke, here is a clue Luke 8:33

This plugin is great for organizing and finding sermons. It really matches well with the series our church does and helps us keep organized. We have two campuses and use Multisite and it works well in that environment too.
The back-end is 100% WordPress native functionality, works great, and is familiar to our pastors which is a nice bonus. I think the front-end looks best of course on the premium themes offered on the WPforChurch.com site, but I found the templates provided easy to copy into our theme and modify for our needs. If nobody in your church is comfortable with that, there are plenty of [shortcodes] available to put in any page or post.
I also want to note that I appreciate the documentation on the WPforChurch.com site!
