As a non-profit, we have several funds to which donors can contribute. I need two different boxes with a pulldown menu on each. This would be the repository of the differnt funds and their minimum donation levels. Also I need to customize the donations levels with the radio dials.
I cannot truly rate this because I don't have this up and running. I need these capabilities in order to make this plugin usable to me or I will have to choose another plugin.
Thank you for your great plugin.
But I have a requirement, may I able to edit form option like if I want to put custom donation amount or if I want to add some extra field. If possible how, please let me know.
Thank you so very much! Any possibility of ever adding a progress tracker for fundraising for specific funds - would be greatly appreciated. This looks and tracks so much better than messy paypal code.
I really like this plugin. It does what it says it will in a simple way. I'm excited to hear that it will continue in development.
Here are a couple items that would make it even better:
I had made a modified(somewhat improved) version for a client. I thought all was good and that my changes would NOT be over written.
I had even created a "must-use plugin" with -
add_filter( 'auto_update_plugin', '__return_false' );
And that wasn't enough. Either wordpress ignores it or the plugin did.
This plugin is a good starting point for accepting donations. However, there are a few things I would change (as a new wordpress site admin) :
1. prohibit automatic updates - I needed to make some customizations and the plugin automatically updated itself and wiped out all of my changes.
2. allow for custom data fields and labels - For example, the group I'm assisting wants a single amount of $25.
3. optionally disable or bypass ALL paypal interaction - I trust that paypal interactions work correctly, but I want to customize thank-you pages, emails, logs, and not require a paypal sandbox.
4. allow for an additional form - the group I'm assisting needs one "donation" page and one for membership and/or event registrations. It would be helpful if I could use the same plugin for both. Then the look and feel would be consistent. It would also be helpful if the additional form(s) would create separate or distinguishable log entries. I'm not sure at this time if the additional forms will require the use of a separate paypal account.
Please note that I am new to wordpress and may not be aware of capabilities related to what I noted above. However I have experience in PHP, HTML, and some java. So with guidance I can figure things out and make changes as needed.
Fine plugin, works perfectly. Highly recommended. Worth a good donation.
This would be an excellent donations plugin if it didn't output such needlessly complex and incorrect HTML. There are paragraph elements surrounding every form element, labels are not wrapped around the inputs they describe (although the "for" attribute is set for each one so it's not a total loss), and there are tons of things missing for accessibility reasons. Not to mention that, within the admin, you can't put customized amounts for the donation amounts. If those things got fixed, this would be a 5-star plugin.
nice form lots of cool stuff and form options but you only find the shortcode once you go to their FAQ page! There would be less "Q's" if it was on the first page, it's useless without the shortcode but the hardest thing to find.
This is one of the best plugins
This plugin was exactly what I needed for my charity website.
