Doesn't work
By , for WP 4.2.4

I am using this plugin together with paid membership pro, and it won't work. Users are still able to register "restricted" usernames. If anyone knows how to fix this, it would be really helpful. Thanks

Works fine with Theme My Login and Wordfence

Thanks for this useful plugin!

Works great, even with Gravity Forms!

I found this plugin simply looking to disallow spaces in usernames but the extra features were welcome new ideas too (e.g. disallowed/reserved usernames, min/max length, etc).

I tested this plugin in combination with Gravity Forms User Registration Add-On, plus using custom validation messages (reference: https://www.gravityhelp.com/documentation/article/gform_user_registration_validation_message/) and everything worked great!

Thanks!

I was looking for this type of plugin in my site. Thanks to the developer of this plugin.

Two word names . . .
By , for WP 3.5.1

I asked a support question with no answer so looks like the developer does not support this plugin.

It allows you to check a box to stop two word usernames. This does not work as I registered a two word name.
