Sort Post and Custom Post Type through drag & drop interface of selected category (or custom selected taxonomies).
check out the support thread 'Editor role access' for a patched version that works with 4.2.2
Does exactly what I wanted it to, very straightforward to use, thank you
Hi A. Chappard,
We are a user and a big fan of your plugin "ReOrder Post Within Categories" (https://wordpress.org/plugins/reorder-post-within-categories/)!
But it seems this plugin is not working on our site (we are using WordPress v3.8.1). On the plugin's page, the combination says "Not enough data". I'm sure you have more insights to share with us regarding this problem. Would be obliged if you could have a look into this as soon as possible, as this is a pressing issue we are facing on our live site.
Thanks in advance.
Does exactly what it says, custom order of posts in a category, without screwing up the post date order ;)
This is EXACTLY what I've been looking for. Couldn't be happier...it works like a charm!
Was asked by a client if they could sort posts different based on the category they were viewing and thought this was gonna be a mammoth task - but then I found this plugin and it was done in no time!
Many of the sites I build are with tons of posts separated in categories! I have used 3 other plugins in the last 4-5 years, and there were always issues and discrepancies, until the only one that was comparable stopped working with WP 8.1, so you can imagine how happy I am to find your plugin! Thank you! I could not find a place to donate - I would be happy to share my joy with you :) Please, post where we can donate.
As long as ordering posts in WP is not possible, this is the best solution.
This plugin made my day!
For anyone trying to make it work with custom post types, it does as advertised. The settings needed are
'show_in_nav_menus' => true,'public'=>true, 'show_ui'=>true, 'hierarchical' => false
and for your custom taxonomy
'hierarchical' => true
