My first plugin-review ever... :)
This plugin does exactly what I want! Very customizable. Thank you so much for this great piece of poetry ;)
The missing ratingstar is for this minor inconvenience since I have two widgets with this plugin on my blog (sidebar and footer). This means the css of the second one overrules the first one because of the double element id's and some !importants. But with some extra css styling I made it work nicely.
I really like this plugin for all of the options it has--particularly being able to display recent posts with an excerpt almost anywhere--not just on the blog page.
However, the text is white and my background is white, so it's completely invisible. Could somebody please tell me how to fix this with custom CSS--or where does the plugin get the attribute for the text color? Probably a really simple fix, but I've tried changing all the colors in my theme and I can't figure out why it's not working.
Thanks so much!
Only a few minor css changes to fit my theme...which is to be expected. Well done.
If it were possible to add a pagination for the post it would be the perfect recent post plugin!
Works well with no hassles at all. Easy enough to modify to suit my needs for the theme I'm working on.
My only beef would be that it could use a little more flexibility than it has. Don't get me wrong it is quite good, but I had to edit the PHP include file to put the date before the h3 heading.
Other than that a great widget that does what it says and gives you a lot of options for your recent posts.
Plugin works great and does pretty much everything it needs to do. Maybe have an option to display author name as well?
There are way to many !important tags in the css. Makes it more complicated for users to have to select the id of the widget then write it all out in the css.
