Provides flexible and advanced recent posts. Display it via shortcode or widget with thumbnails, post excerpt, taxonomy and more.
Great widget, little overwhelming if you don't anything about coding (mainly css etc.) but pretty much you can set it up to satisfy your needs. It even covers custom post types, which was very important, for me personally.
WHY couldn't I have found this plugin sooner ???? I have been going through shortcodes (Ultimate.. which broke numerous other plugins) and other plugin's that have been driving me nuts!
YOU ARE AWESOME DUDE !!!!!
This is my first plugin review, and I'm starting here because I really want to praise this plugin. It does everything exactly the way I wanted it, including a thumbnail photo from each post. The icing on the cake is that you can edit the CSS from right inside the widget setup.
I'm working with a difficult client who wants a specific look to his featured blog box, and of course the theme I'm using has the usual post widgets. Luckily I found this widget...it's saving me time. I like that the custom CSS is in the widget itself so that it doesn't affect any other widgets globally. Great job! I will definitely recommend this widget to other developers.
My website is not primarily a blog, but but does have a blog page. I was looking for a way to show a few recent posts and a short preview of that post with an image, so that people wouldn't have to navigate to the actual blog page to see that posts are there.
That is EXACTLY what this plugin does. I am very happy with it. I like that I can change the amount of words that are shown in the preview and the versatility as far as being able to change what pages it is visible on and if I only want posts from particular categories.
This is a great plugin for recent posts, highly recommended, even over paid plugins. Great work!!
It does what it says, simple and easy.
One of the best plugin for sidebar to display recent posts with a lot of customization.
Thanks for the hard work!
This one is great, I use it on almost every site. One thing I'd love to see in the next update is a way to limit date ranges for most commented articles. When sorting by comment count it shows the most commented articles ever, regardless of age. This can be a problem when you want to show newer and more relative content initially.
This is a fab plugin that works out of the box and is easy to configure. It's on my list of standard plugins to use when creating new wordpress sites.
