Really Simple CAPTCHA

Really Simple CAPTCHA is a CAPTCHA module intended to be called from other plugins. It is originally created for my Contact Form 7 plugin.

Super Simple and Works out of the box
By , for WP 4.1

Installation couldn't be easier and interfacing it with Contact-Form was simple. Very good installation instructions and guides on the developers website.

Would be nice to have additional settings to modify how the captcha is displayed onscreen such as a border. A gui to overlay the settings would be useful as the existing configuration files may be confronting to new users.

Easy tutorial to use CAPTCHA in Contact Form 7
By , for WP 4.0.1

The plugin is super easy to use once you know how. I couldn't find much information on how to go about getting CAPTCHA in my form though when I first installed it. A Google search brought up this great tutorial: http://www.thecreatology.com/tutorial-to-add-captcha-in-contact-form-7-plugin-to-block-spam-on-wordpress-blog.html

I followed the instructions and it works no problem on my form.

Not working with WP4.0.1/WooCommerce 2.2.8/Contact Form 7
By , for WP 4.0.1

Downloaded and enabled on site with WP4.0.1, WooCommerce 2.2.8, Contact Form 7 V4.0.2, Contact Form 7 Dynamic Extensions V1.2.

Doesn't work. No Captcha. No nothing. View details says it has not been tested with my version of WP.

Deactivated. Deleted.

BAIT PLUGIN for Google

I hated the fact that in order to use this plugin I had to sign up for Google. Do I trust these guys to stay OUT OF MY WEBSITE?

ABSOLUTELY NOT!!

GOOGLE tracks too much now in my opinion!

Perpetual spinning arrow

Didn't work with BuddyPress installed.
I added @chmod($file, (fileperms($file) & 044) | 0600); immediately before the two unlink calls and now works properly. Thanks to maximinime.

Does exactly what it's supposed to do.

I've used Really Simple CAPTCHA with both Contact Form 7 and Gravity Forms. It works great with both form plugins. Very simple, easy to customize to match your site's color scheme.
