Now, that is fast! I was reluctant to install it because it hasn't been updated in a while, but it certainly works for me.
I see someone has mentioned the permissions requirement for wp-config.php. That had me wondering, too, until I did this. I gave Quick Cache the permissions it said it required, activated and configured it. Then I set the permissions back so that wp-config.php was read only. Quick Cache doesn't seem to mind. If anyone knows why it should be a problem, I'd appreciate the info. Otherwise, I'm quite satisfied.
That's how fast our sites are loading now. Snap!
I'm pretty impressed. This is by far the easiest cache plugin I've installed. Super simple. I installed it, activated it and followed the directions. Two minutes later I was seeing a major speed increase.
Very nice work!
Extremely easy to setup.
Notice 2 of my WP sites loaded very, very quickly.
2nd Cache plugin I tried - this one actually seamed to work! Love it!
Really simple to use options but still has enough configuration for some advanced stuff
I love this plugin. I tried most of the plugins for cache support, but they were either to complicated or actually made my blog slower. Quick cache is easy to use and just works with basically the click of a button. It does have more advanced options for those who are technical enough to tweak and optimize, but I simply turned it on and let it be. Took about 1 second off average load time. May not seem like much, but the site was fairly speedy to begin with.
After Securi and Rackspace's warning, its not possible to use W3TC or WP Super Cache.
Quick Cache does the work fine.
The problem is with uploading to Akamai or Rackspace Cloud Files...
This is a great plugin. The key for me is the custom MD5 salt. Allowed me to easily use a cookie to cache multiple versions of pages that resulted from a responsive approach. Bravo!
Oh my how this plugin helps in boosting some extra speed in your websites.
It's a very simple plugin compared to other caching plugins here on WordPress.org - but it gets the job done very well without any extra clutter or messing with configurations.
Just activate it, choose "On" in the settings and Save. Done.
I switch when W3 Total Cache become trash and plan - placing huge notes on my plugin page (should be banned from WP for that!) and also break a few of my websites, plus not cached a few at all! Total disaster. Quick cache gave me what I needed - just quick, simple cache plugin without any annoyance and with enough options. 10+. reliable and fast - that is what you want from cache plugin, right? :)
I use this plugin on over 100 WordPress websites. It is quick and easy to install and run. Out of the box, it drastically reduces the load-time of my websites...and it has all of the advanced functions that I need to manage the cache. I will continue to recommend this plugin. If you have a WordPress website, you MUST have this plugin.
