Problem Translating Title
By , for WP 3.8.1

Hi. I am facing a problem. I have the plugin installed, it works fine for menu items and post contents, but my Post Title does not work, it displays texts from both the language that i have given. Help! This is how my title is showing at the moment:

and the code is:
<h1 class="page-title"><!--:fi-->Ruoka Valikko<!--:--><!--:en-->Food Menu<!--:--></h1>

Works great on 3.6.1… but not anything newer

Looks like it's out of development… if you're running an old version of WP, it's awesome.

It always disabled itself after new WordPress version released
By , for WP 3.7

Don't get me wrong. I LOVE this plugin. Easy to use, absolutely.

However, every time WordPress released new version, this plugin always disable itself.

Here is the exact message:

The qTranslate Editor has disabled itself because it hasn't been tested with your WordPress version yet. This is done to prevent WordPress from malfunctioning. You can reenable it by clicking here (may cause data loss! Use at own risk!). To remove this message permanently, please update qTranslate to the corresponding version.

I know, it's actually good thing. It's protecting you from broken your wp installation. But now I wonder, how is this plugin support. How long will I have to wait until the compatible version to the latest WP version will be released.. :(

Para ser gratis, no está mal

Solución apañada si necesitas una web multiidioma sencillita. No hay demasiada documentación ni soporte, si el proyecto es grande este plugin queda muy limitado. Es mejor optar por la opción multisite o WPML.

Not Working
By , for WP 3.5

Heard tis is great translator, i need it for an automative website, please update with WP 3.5.

Pretty nice plugin, but conflicts a LOT with other plugins
By , for WP 3.5.1

The plugin tries to run its translation on all of your site's options. This can wreak havoc at times.

For example, with uBillboard plugin, qTranslate changes the options for it that will turn your site into a 502 Gateway Error.

It isn't often, but this can be a real mess.

To fix uBillboard conflict (this could potentially guide other plugin conflicts as well), I edited qtranslate_core.php.

Update the "IF" statement from lines 129 - 136 to check for your plugin's prefix:

if(!defined('WP_ADMIN')) {
	$alloptions = wp_load_alloptions();
	foreach($alloptions as $option => $value) {
		if ( false === strpos($option, 'billboard') )
			add_filter('option_'.$option, 'qtrans_useCurrentLanguageIfNotFoundUseDefaultLanguage',0);

Where "if ( false === strpos($option, 'billboard') )" is a new line that has been added.
