Lets you manipulate the order in which posts are displayed.
This is one of the oldest WordPress post order plugins, and still the best in my experience!
The other plugins are also limited in that generally there is no easy way to reset or restore post ordering to the default chronological order for your main blog or for a tag or category.
Q2W3 Post Order is a bit more work to set up at first because you need to enter the order numbering by hand - but the advantage is that it is fully configurable and possible to do anything you want.
Another advantage: The user interface also displays very clearly which posts are ordered and which are not, for any given tag, category, etc. This way, you know what you've set to be ordered and what you haven't - plus new posts show up in a way that allows you to quickly put them where you want them.
No problem on compatibility - this plugin still installs, works and runs fine on latest WordPress 4.2.2.
Tried others, but this is still the one! Kudos and thanks to the plugin author.
Easy to use and does what it promises - allows manually sorting posts order for each category.
I just spent about two hours and at least seven plugins looking around for a plugin that would allow me to custom sort the order of posts on three different categories on their archive pages.
I was about to give up when I found this plugin and it not only did what I wanted it was slick and easy.
I highly recommend.
just what i was looking for ..
Q2W3 Post Order is the ONLY post ordering plugin for Custom Taxonomy, and it's FREE!
