I've been a Pretty Link Lite user for years, and never had a problem until today. I found a year-old WordPress forum post sharing the same problem and contacted the developers of Pretty Link Lite. Within 30 minutes, Paul had resolved the issue for me, and all was right again with my world... (If only all of my problems were this easily handled!)
Great tool, awesome support. What's not to like?
If you are advertising or doing affiliate marketing, You must need pretty link to hide your real links and change them into yours to give natural feel to your users. I just love it.
If you use the free version and a user click on your pretty affiliate Link and do nothing on the salespage, like scrolling etc. it will directly redirect to the memberpress salespage at https://www.memberpress.com/ without your permission!
Try your own link to test it!
If the user come to a salespage and a video appears and he will see it, the redirect comes in and steel your customer. This is a very bad way to work with trust of customers. For me, this people behind pretty link has died.
I delete this plugin instantly and use safe redirect manager for the same things. I'm happy to see this before i have buy the pro version! Never Ever!
I love this. I know some people are unhappy because there is a paid version. Well the free version works and I love it. Keep up the good programming.
This author removed some most basic functions to force you to upgrade to "pro" version.
You can't see a list of "pretty links" you created, in their place, is a big fat ugly YouTube video embed to "help you get started". Problem is, the video is at least a few years old, and the interface featured in the video does NOT look like what you see today any more - especially after they removed the most important screen that you rely on to keep track of things.

One more thing, this plugin caused frequent "connection lost..." problem while composing posts and pages. The problem went away as soon as I disabled it.
Needless to say, this piece of ugly plugin will be uninstalled from my site asap!
I begin use it for redirects, is very easy to install and to use.
I think that I'll try also the pro version.
I am using the free version on several sites. Actually, I don't use it much, mostly just for a handful of affiliate links that I want to mask/track and for that this plugin works perfectly. I can't speak to anything about the pro version or redirects (I use the Redirection plugin for those) but for my needs this is a great plugin.
I've been using the pro version of this tool for almost a year. It worked the day I installed it and has remained a trusty and reliable plugin. Which is exactly what you want from a tool such as this.
I have two domains. My formal domain and my shorturl domain. The shorturl domain simply forwards to the correct page on the formal domain. I think it is called an alternative base url. Love it.
messed up my website, had to install the complet website again
Update: Another Plugin was the reason for my problems not Pretty Link Lite
Once you make a pretty link and delete you can never use it again.
The author says to make sure there are no pages, posts, tags, categories connected to the link.
I did that also went into the database to delete them and there are NOT there.
This is a great tool but after a little while all your links are screwed. (After testing it ALL my Vanities were dead)
Go somewhere else for another solution.
I have purchased the PRO VERSION and there is ZERO SUPPORT.
