Fantastic - Great functionality, support and interface
By , for WP 3.5.1

I agree with others that this should be part of the wordpress core. I found it very surprising that posts can not be related to one another especially with the onset of custom posts and you get in all sorts of a muddle creating hacks and custom queries with just taxonomies. I like this plugin as the admin user interface is great. Good documentation and good support from the plugin author.

Compared to the alternatives ( I have not really tried them much ), I like this one because it sticks to relational database terminology and you can set rules for the allowed relationships which can be reflected in the admin boxes. e.g. only allow many to one relationships with posts that have a certain tag.

I also think it is a good thing that there is no attempt to create a user interface for defining the relationships. If you begin by creating the relationships in your functions.php, you quickly see how to further customise it to your exact needs.

Thinking how it could be improved? Maybe some options to allow "quick edit" to make connections. Maybe some options for "bulk-actions" for making connections.

Thanks to the author

Should be included in WordPress core

Just heard about your plugin on WordSesh and it looks great, I normally use ACF but would much rather use this, only thing is I can't see an option for image fields, am I missing this or does this functionality not currently exist?

Also are you able to add metaboxes and additional fields to taxonomies?

Many thanks and great work.

powerful and useful

We've used this plugin on several sites to relate many custom post types together. It is great to find a plugin that has built exactly what is needed in a very flexible way.

This really, really, really needs to be in core

This plugin allows developers to create direct relationships between post types, a feature that WordPress has desperately needed as long it's been used as a CMS.

This is one of those critical pieces of kit that all developers should automatically turn to when developing new WordPress projects, and the fact that it hasn't been incorporated into WordPress core isn't just shocking, it's downright criminal.

very good

This plugin, together with wp-types, is amazing.
Right now it has no GUI (well, actually there is one, but it doesn't work so well) but it is easy to use and adds great functionality.

Thanks for a great plugin!

Really amazing plugin and fills a much needed gap

If you want to blast your WordPress CMS into the next dimension then this is the plugin you need!

I feel the lack of "relationships" in WordPress is a major issue when it comes to creating complex sites with interlinking objects. This plugin solves that problem! And it looks like it was meant to be part of the WP backend too - great UI

Great plugin for relations
