I needed to send items via email and Postie has met all my expectations. It is also frequently updated.

Extremely usefull plugin for a sort of live blogging service website!

Great Support

Postie and the Postie Shortcode Add-On did not work perfectly with my custom post type right out of the box. However, this plugin has great support and the developer went out of his way to help me get it working the way I wanted it to.

Strong, especially for "testimonial" page
By , for WP 4.2.2

I'm using this on a website for users to submit their testimonial to the admin. Basically I'm using contact form 7 to generate the content with the proper code which is emailed to a secret email address... subsequently Postie grabs that email and parses it automatically for me, places it as a draft, and emails the admin there's a new drafted testimonial.

Works really well-- main issue was WP-mail wasn't letting me push the new email as a draft, but postie lets you do basically everything under the sun!

Fantastic plugin!

Makes things easy

Postie works just fine. I installed it for posting while being on road. Though it seems to be a powerful tool, installation is easy and self explaining. It took me just a few minutes to adjust the settings according to my needs.

my top 3

If I was stuck on an island and could only keep 3 WordPress plugins (yes this island happens to have wifi, LOL), Postie would be one of them.

Combine this with IFTTT and you can do even more amazing things.

I knocked off a star because it's not the perfect solution. Images that are attached from the iOS camera roll need to be renamed and resized.

I find it's just more efficient to use a separate iOS app for renaming and resizing - and then paste the embed codes into the e-mail before sending it out.

Other than that, haven't run into any problems.
