Portfolio plugin allows you to create a page containing the information about your past projects.
in free version. Useless.
This plugin works really well for setting up your portfolio.
The template is slightly tricky to set up, but works well in the end.
The only thing I would want is the ability to disable injected stylesheets.
I had an issue with it working with my theme, contacted their support and my issue was resolved the very next day.
Works brilliantly now, does exactly what it's meant to. Perfect plugin.
I wish I would have installed a different poertfolio. Every time I get a video link via iframe from youtube, the iframe does not appear, neither does the video. I had a different portfolio installed and everything worked perfectly. It shows in the live view, but not on the post. It is very frustrating when things should work, but don't
It takes a little while to get used to using, but once you get the hang of it , it's really easy. If I had looked at the web site for what the finished product should look like, it would have been a time saver for me. I had a small issue with not needing the "More Screenshots" feature. I contacted support and got an answer within 24 hours. Their office is in Russia, so there is a huge time difference from where I am in the United States. The first solution did not work. It was a Friday that I informed them that it was no big deal since the plug-in was functioning properly. It was just that it had a feature I didn't need. On Monday, they sent me the code to remove the feature I didn't need and the plug-in works great now! Getting support of this caliber is a rare thing today! Thank you!
It changed thumbnails so that not only portfolios was influenced (looked awful) but also the gallery was altered, so it didn't look the same :-(
throws styling out - really irritating and annoying
I was checking out this plugin to enable a customized portfolio area and ran into several issues:
1. Plugin stopps working, if you change URL from /portfolio to something else
2. Integration into breadcrumb is missing
3. I got several issues with the read more link, showing just photos instead of full article
4. I got several issues, with clicking on an "project executive"s name, it appended the description text to URLs
5. I had a hard time, changing the order of fields, code looks a little bit messy there
6. If you want to add aditional fields, you have todo it for each and every articel.
7. No documentation, howto show the Technologies widget, just on Portfolio related pages.
Works as promised. However, I was looking for a plugin that would grab a defined number of most recent portfolio posts and allow the use of a shortcode for placement of thumbs using the native WP Media Library URL links within a custom template of my own. I'll give it 5 stars because it works as promised but I uninstalled it and will keep looking for something that will work with my Ajax hard coded theme that also doesn;t allow me to very easily create a custom page.
Though i thought this was a great plugin until i changed my portfolio feature image to 320. With sidebar enabled the portfolio text hovers in part on the image. In another instance with 3 bottom extra images the layout broke and the sidebar got pushed below the main content.
Tested with firefox.
