Never get a 404 page not found again. If you have restructured or moved your blog, this plugin will find the right post or page every time.
This is the first plugin that I am writing review for because I felt compelled to thank the developers for this smooth solution that saves effort to add 301 redirects in htaccess file each time a structural link is changes. It has also cleared all crawl errors from google websmater and is a very intelligent plugin that find the right page automatically.
Just awesome. Thanks a ton. I moved from WordPress to .org. But, changed the permalink structure. All the old links started throwing 404 errors. I used this plugin and it moves them to the correct blog post in the new site. Thanks for saving a lot of time and sparing me headache.
I've used in 3 differents projects after changing permalink / informational structure and helped avoid - or solve - all crawl errors thats comes after the changes
I think I love you. This plugin worked perfectly and saved me a ton of work and stress after my switch from blogger to WordPress. I didn't know what to do with the almost 1000 broken link (404) notices, but now all the links I'm checking...work! Thanks!
migrated my wife's blogger site with over 1,100 posts to wordpress (same custom domain), installed this plugin, and voila - all of the old blogger post URLs that i tried were automatically redirected to the new wordpress post URL.
such a life saver! going to donate now :-D
I changed permalink structure from /%postname%/ to /%category%/%postanme%.html and this did the thing I was after to not get any dead links in the SERP and so on.
So happy with this plugin. I was having a major drama with my links after migrating & this fixed it. The perfect solution for a non-tech-code-person like myself.
I tested this plugin against 404 redirected, and in my opinion this is superior for helping people find the right page, even if the URL isn't correct.
It's also very simple, and easy to setup.
I am preparing to move a large (500+ posts and pages) from Expression Engine to WP. The current permalinks are
and I want to use the structure
Plus, there are still links out there to html pages created when the site was in FrontPage many, many years ago.
I figured out how properly rewrite the URLs with htaccess, but it was slowing the site and interfering with an event calendar plugin.
The Permalink Finder plugin is awesome. It handles all of the messiness in my old URLs and does it easily. No muss, no fuss. It just works.
Thank you for this plugin. It is amazing. Wish I had found it yesterday. ;o)
