The vendor has stopped maintaining the plugin.
What he wrote in the comments section on his own site:
The simple solution is to uninstall permalink finder. I do not support it and haven’t for over three years. It is the first plugin that I ever wrote and it is not the easiest plugin to maintain.
I am using the most updated version of WordPress, and 2 years down the line, this plugin is still working like a charm...Highly recommended
I have used this plugin for over 2 years on several sites. Best solution I have found for serving up pages when permalinks are changed or switching from other page extensions (.shtml, .aspx, .html, etc...).
Thank you for the awesome plugin.
no problems running this in 4.2.2 even though plug-in has not been updated in a long time.
this is a great way to ensure that no links break after editing your permalink structure. all URLs changed but none broke. easy.
It works like a miracle. One day suddenly all my internal links led to 404 error. i struggled a long time reading all those forums and tinkered with my .htaccess file, permalink settings and whatnot.
All came to a naught, until I found Permalink Finder! Thank you!
I transferred from Blogger to WordPress about two years ago. I have had so many broken links since then. I've used the Redirection plugin faithfully, but it required a lot of manual input. I seriously was getting 1,500 404s a day, sometimes more. Today, I got 8 on the smartphone and 1 ONE! on the desktop. Thanks for an awesome plugin.
Some of my websites have quite a complicated way of creating their url slugs, and sometimes they get updated and change, but just slightly... this plugin solves any 404 issues.
This plugin is also great for when you want to tweak the permalinks to improve SEO a while later down the track, for example, say you just want to add a single word to every url to help with your permalink seo then this plugin will prevent the old slugs from throwing 404s and will instead redirect them to your new url slug.
If you are completely changing the url slug to something completely different then it might not work as well, but for smaller changes (like 1 or 2 words) it works brilliantly!
I make my matching words to be 3 rather than 2 to make it more robust.
creates loops all over the place and crashes my server.
Poor execution, and no time being put into fixes or support.
