Looked for a wordpress quote plugin that had a random quote feature. Look no further. Here it is.

a quote only to a specific page
By , for WP 3.8.2

Hello,

I like the idea with quotes at the sidebar.

However, I would like to know if it's possible to connect a specific quote (in the sidebar) to a specific page.

Thanks in advance.

Greetings,
Corné

Perfect and Simple

Easy to use and stylize.

One thing I thought was weird was that you insert the quote where the title usually goes, which was a little confusing at first.

Quick, clean, solid

Very pleased.

Overall just a terrific plug-in.

Experienced a few minor issues with how the shortcode and widget display the data inconsistently.

If you only plan to use one or the other, than you just work with that.

Don't perform a "Quick Edit" of a quote. There's a glitch that erases the author

Styling is kind of off, and this plug has a few small bugs. If you need to edit a quote, you can't "quick edit" it from the list page otherwise all of the authors will be deleted.

Shortcode works great, sidebar widget offers less flexibility
By , for WP 3.5.1

Out of the many quotes & testimonials plugins for WP this one has the easiest installation and use. I only utilize the shortcode functionality which IMHO works great. The plugin also offers a sidebar widget, but it provides much less control in terms of headings and CSS styling.

The right plugin at the right time

Every site has different expectations and needs for plugins and this one has worked great for 2 different sites.

Good but not useful to me

If I leave the widget title blank, it still creates a widget title of "Perfect Quotes". I don't want any title, just the quotes.

I want to have random quotes formatted in the widget. The only way I can see to do this is to use short-code in the widget and add my own css. But I don't see a short-code for random quotes. "BHM Random Quote" plugin works better for this by telling the user what css wraps the quote (but this plug-in has no categories)

I use post titles in my permalinks. Perfect Quote creates a permalink that contains the entire quote so I have to change the permalink to something more reasonable.
