This Plugin actually works very well. I love the much faster access than clicking yourself through the vertical navigation. However, I would really appreciate if it would be possible to have BOTH (yes you read correctly), BOTH Navigation menus turned on.
Reason: Sometimes I am just faster in the vertical navigation (even though most of the time I am faster using the horizontal navigation)... . It also looks more familiar to clients as I am trying to show them how to get somewhere in the backend... . If there is only the top navigation, they will not recognize it... .
So I would love just having a little checkbox, I could click and both navigations (horizontal on top and vertical (native)) would be viewed at the same time.
Would be really looking forward if you could create something like this. Thank you!
I can say that this is the 1st plugin I install on any new build as it gives us developers and site admins more real estate to work with rather than having the bulking left menu taking up screen space. There have been some icon size issues, but any coder can easily fix it.
Only request i would have after using this for 3+ years is I wish it could be a sticky menu or an option for that. This way as I am lower on the page the menu will still be there instead of having to scroll to the top. Hopefuly a feature that could be included in a future release?
Other than that GREAT PLUGIN!!
many nice features thank you. it's particularly great when walking on different sites at the same time, you always can distinguish the colours of the menu bar
This plugin makes it easier to navigate the admin area. That makes me more productive. It's easy to use and works as advertised.
This plugin works beautifully and I love it. But I really would like to use the companion plugin "Admin Menus Fixed" to keep the menu from scrolling off the top. Unfortunately this current version doesn't work with my version of WordPress 4.2.2.
Two problems: 1) When Admin Menus Fixed is applied, the very top portion of the page slips under the menu and is obscured (particularly bad if the top menu is two lines or more.
2) When trying to click on a sub-menu item on the first line, the menu item on the second line actually interferes. This is not an issue when "Admin Menus Fixed" is not active, but becomes an issue when it is.
So my workaround is to do without "Admin Menus Fixed" but now the top menu scrolls off the page unfortunately.
ALMOST a perfect solution. I hope Ozh'can fix this! Thanks!
Durch Zufall drüber "gestolpert", sofort installiert..
Zusammen mit dem "Admin Menus Fixed"-Plugin, das mir das Menü "festnagelt" einfach Super und nur zu empfehlen...
I much prefer top menus to side ones, and this is great for me - thanks
This is really a good one. It makes the admin function a lot easier.
Thank you for creating this plugin, really helps by giving us admin more screen space to work with :)
I have used it on live blogs for years.
I now mostly use it during development because dumps of debug information to the screen sometimes pushes the standard menu too far down - preventing the lower items being accessed.
Thank you for making my life easier ;)
