Child Theme Creation for Dummies
By ,

Wow! I have struggled to understand how to construct a child theme: the written and video tutorials assume a level of understanding that I (the dummy in this review's title) don't have.

Then I stumbled over the WPCrafter video on YouTube in which he showed me how to use your One-Click Child Theme plugin and I had a child theme in a matter of minutes!

Thanks ever so much and keep on keepin' on!!!

basic and easy-some support docs would be appreciated
By , for WP 4.2.2

i just installed it and i managed to set some personalisation on the child them (basically on the menus) and it works.
i would have appreciated, as i am not an expert of child themes, a mini guide for using the settings. like.. i am not sure if clicking on "child them" on aspect and adding/copying all the php/css files suggested was correct. i just thought it was. but so far it works and it is easy. thanks!

Great plugin, just a question

Works as advertised, so thanks! Just a question: after creating the child theme and then updating the main theme (Divi by Elegant Themes), my menu was a bit messed up. It was easy enough to correct, but am I right to assume that changes to the menu are not stored in the child theme?

works in my latest WP for divi ET

Easy to Use

Worked just like it said it would for an already active site. Thank you!

I think It'll be great But...
By , for WP 4.1.1

...I used this to save the custom formatting of my site before updating as I'd just lost some changes on another site after a theme update, however as soon as I created the child theme my whole site died with a fatal error because the custom code was in the main theme and the child. Fortunately I was able to delete the child theme via ftp and get back in to reactivate the original theme without losing any of the customisations!

If you HAVEN't YET ADDED CUSTOM CODE To funtions.php, It should all be well, but if you have already, cut them now and paste them into the child theme afterwards!

Really Oneclick child theme
